Ok guys I'm personally sick of all these so called MMORPGs, imo they are a joke, nothing but grindy grindy grindy, quest quest quest, kill mobs a thousand times and come back. I'm thinking Co-Operative type MMO-RPG games are for me, ones where ya play storyline in multiplayer either via LAN or Online preferbly. Also, before ya make any suggestions, please take note I am aware of games such as Diablo (1 and 2), Neverwinter Nights (alot of people seem to recommend this, I just never get that into it and never find a server that would accept a complete newb), Baldar's Gate (again same statement as NWN), Dungeon Siege (1 and 2) I kinda enjoyed DS but I kinda got bored of it after playing it once or twice. So anyways, is there anymore recommended RPGs with online cooperative gameplay that I may wanna try that you guys know about? I'd really like to give them a try. Oh and feel free to mention some RTS games too if ya like, I enjoy those, I can't stand FPS so no go in that area, oh and preferbly medieval fantsay but I might give sci-fi a shot. However, please don't list a dozen RTS games and no RPG games, I really want RPGs mainly! Thanks.

DDO has lot's of cooperative questlines.
If you can find a good group of people, Guild Wars really is worth playing for a co-op feel.
I also hear Star Trek Online is good for the co-operating. I'm debating picking the game up myself to try it out.
As far as actual RPGs go, I'm not sure. I've given up on most modern RPGs and have turned to MAG and Heavy Rain.

Hmm, I guess I forgot to say I tried DDO, GW and STO and well DDO yeah is okish for Co-Operative but gets repative, doing the same dungeons a dozen times isn't my idea of enjoyment which is needed if ya wanna try the Epic level and earn points for DDO:U. As for GW, its also okish but I find the communtiy on there is mostly retarded PvPers not PvEers and I end up using my heroes (enhanced henchman NPC that fight with you) rather than playing with other players. And finally as for STO well it just didn't impress me one bit. For starters I'm not a STO fan but I gave it a try cus my friend was interested and I wanted something new, now despite my interest I soon came to realise the whole plot line was just messed up, you only mainly meet the borg during the begining, the main enemy is the Klingon which to me is like WTF? I wouldn't even wanna mess with those guys and its just as repetative as any other MMORPG to date with no real focus, thats my keyword here focus, I want a begining, a middle and an end, an RPG that has multiplayer, that is Co-Operative game play and perhaps different ways of playing with different classes to try out so that I may wanna play it a couple of times rather than once. Thanks for the tips guys but these 3 just don't cut it for me. Oh and before anyone suggests, yes I played CoH/V and don't intend to play Champions for the same reason I gave for DDO and STO, there just isn't any real end point to those games, its just no end of go into an instance a dozen times to level up and get goodies, whoop di do, its no better than playing instances in WoW when ya got nothing better to do.
Urvan, my friend, you in no way want an MMORPG.
If you want a beginning, a middle and an end, you should ask on forums such as IGN or Gamespot, or at the very least in General Gaming here on MMORPG.com.
You don't want to be asking for an MMORPG, however.

Thanks John but since its still an MMO-RPG its still classified and still fits. Also, people sometimes get recommended games like the ones I'm looking for in these very forums, I don't think there's any harm in looking for answers here. However, I will heed your advice and try elsewhere also if I must, although so far I've been browsing the net and not finding much else from other people's answers to a similar question, they seem to be told games I'm already aware of such as NWN, Diablo, etc.
And another thing, look in Games List and tell me is Battleground Europe an MMORPG? no its an MMOFPS. Is Blitz 1941 an MMORPG? no its an MMORTS. Is Dance Groove Online a MMORPG? no its some sort of MMODDR. My point is this site has evolved from the once was MMORPG.com and is rather MMOGames.com imo and this perticular section is entitled "LFGame" not "LFMMORPG". Sorry if I seem arguementative but I felt I had a case to argue and valid points to put across.
Neither NWN nor Diablo is an MMO-RPG...so once again, I must reference that you do not want an MMORPG. MMORPGs have no start, middle or end.

Look, no offense bud but this is not open for a debate, I don't come here to debate I come here looking for games and as far as I'm concerned its perfectly acceptable to ask and until I'm told otherwise by someone who is a MMORPG.com admin, I will not refrain from my attempts to ask for this perticular genre of multiplayer gaming.
Myst URU Online is back in action. Matter of a fact, I'm heading there right now.
Godspeed my fellow gamer
Its too bad NWN didn't work out for you, cuz that's the first thing that crossed my mind when I read your post.
I'm not sure how many are still playing it, but Titan Quest might be worth a shot.
Have you tried League of Legends?
I must say that after I read your post, the immediate game that came to mind was Demon's Souls. While this is a very tough game (it WILL kick your ass...I promise), it allows cooperative play at your leisure, and boy does it come in handy sometimes! Its on the PS3. And yes, there is a little grind here and there, but it feels alot more meaningful, because its not like you are grinding for something thats going to need to be thrown away next month. You build your character the way you like him from top to bottom (warhammer wielding mage-thief, anyone?). If you are looking for a great, challenging, and solid single player, or multiplayer experience, get this game.
"Everyone dies. It is how one lives that matters."
Artemis Entreri (R.A. Salvatore)
"P.S. MAKE NO DEALS WITH THE WOLF." -Durzo Blint-
"But, there is one they fear.
In their tongue, he is Dovahkiin -- Dragonborn!" -Game of the Century-
Yeah I play LoL on and off but it doesn't fulfill my needs for more than a couple of hours before I get fed up with the repeativeness of it, I'm not really looking for PvP although I did say RTS types are an interest of mine so t hanks for suggesting it.
As for NWN , yeah, its a shame, I donno why I can't get the jyst of it, I think its probably cus its just so overwhelming and I run around cluseless and no one in multiplayer mode wants to help a clueless newb lol.
As for Myst URU, correct me if I'm wrong bust isn't Myst more of an adventure game rather than an RPG game? I have played the first one and once again this isn't a game for me really. As interesting as it is this game, in my opinion, starts to get a bit dull. Its more or less solving puzzles and mechanical devices and "what happened here?" scenes. If I'm mistaken feel free to correct me but if not, please take not this is not the genre I'm looking for.
Demon Souls eh? I like the sound of the title at least, haha! Too bad I don't own a PS3 and can't exactly afford one atm. Kinda debating about an Xbox 360 since I really enjoyed Fable and it sames they are not planning on making Fable 2 for PC and it seems to have Co-Op? Also it seems the Xbox is very Co-Op focused although you have to pay for Xbox LIVE subscription in order to play any LIVE games >_>
Wow, I just watched GameSpot's review on Demon Souls, it looks awsome, for anyone who owns a PS3 I recommend you watch this:
Yes, it's core is an adventure game with environmental puzzles.
However, it's made its transition as a fully fledged MMORPG with some interesting persistent features, and URU Live is completely free to play with no hitches, so all you have to lose is your time. Soon, it'll even go open source (except for art assets), including the tools, and you can create your own Ages and host them for others to play.
Guilds are social and the community is friendly, as well as the devs drop in on their own game sometimes.
It's an awesome game. I'd try it out.
If nothing else, customizing you Relto is fun. =]

Fable 2 failed hard, imo. A 6 hour campaign, limited co-operative content and even less of an impact than the first game.
Not to mention, action was dampered tremendously for me due to the fact that you couldn't knock people's heads off. =P

Its free? all I see is a demo on the site. I might take a look at it but I still doubt its what I'm looking for, I want an RPG not a tomb raider like adventure game.
Nevermind, seems I was looking at the wrong site.
Myst is not even close to Tomb Raider, my friend...
Also, make sure you have the right site. -_-'
Quoted from the site:
"And the cost is pretty good. Free!"

I love demons souls i soloed alot cuz i cant find anyone that can play co op right everytime i get in coop the host ended up dead everytime totally waste of my time. but otherwise demons souls is far best game i ever play it like DDO combat style but with controller.
Try avalon heroes it like league of league but with story line and i think 6 to 10 coop boss action. there quest too that you can earn reward for it... you can choose to do story line, team pvp, or coop boss action. It was recently in closing beta now should be released soon

A six hour campaign? hehe.
A speed run? I've played Fable on and off for a year and still havent beaten it, then again I don't rush through games.
I spend quite a bit of time in all my Rpgs just wandering around.
Kinda why FFXIII Fails so hard. game is nothing but a main story arc with a handful of side missions atleast fable keeps you busy.
OP theres a great Co-op website that you should check out. Let me check my bookmarks and ill link it. they would probably help you more.
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
So.. I guess ya can't remember what that site is?
Star Trek Online is actually great for co-op, believe it or not. Much better for that than it is for a huge, open, seamless world.
