I love the Tirisfal Glades area of World of Warcraft.

The crossroads and the bottom level of Deceit in UO. Both provided me with countless nights of PVP for years.

Everquest, in the zone just outside of East Freeport (commonlands i think) in between the city and the sea there was an inn, used to stop there often just to listen to the music, wish knew what it was called
Darkfall-Yssam jungle sub continent in Agon name of world called in Darkfall.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
Darkness Falls- DAoC I'm sure there are others that I may have liked a lil better, but this is the one that jumped right out..
Same here, Darkness Falls was the perfect mix of pvp and pve imo. There were prettier places in the game, but nothing that had the feel of good ol' DF.
That place seemed massive compared to what I had seen while leveling to 60. And then the first time in a full 40-man rain in Molten Core and seeing most of the guild in one place for the first time...ready to take on the HUGE trash mobs and bosses. Those were good memories.
Pre-Trammel UO the Yew gate. I mean WOW anyone else remember that mad dash to your guild house exploding potions, red mages waiting to bomb the first one across the gate! Whew getting to your front door just to realise somone is stealthed in your doorway lol. Miss that. Easily my favorite place in any MMO.
The Warrens - EQ (first mmo dungeon crawl and I lived there for about a month, was a blast way back in 2000)
Pantheon of the Ancients (pre-revamp) - Vanguard
Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed. Current mmo's grouping: tinder. swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.
Darkness Falls - DAoC: creeping around in there at max level and finding people who are killing mobs and murdering their healer and then the rest of them because they weren't paying attention...
Myrkwood Forest, Midgard realm, DAoC: When you would enter it, you knew exactly where you were. There were plenty of different mobs to fight in it and all of them were aggressive. It was dark, and foggy and dangerous, especially since the mobs in it would link like crazy and you'd have ~5 of them chasing you in no time.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
