So, the Tiger Woods apology...what do you think?

ZindaihasZindaihas Member UncommonPosts: 3,662

Was it sincere?  Do you think he returns to his old ways?  Do you even care?

Personally, I don't.  I just want to be able to take credit for what's almost certain to become a hot thread.

I care just enough to post that I really don't care.

I reckon the boy's sorry, but that don't change the fact that he cheated on a lady...

I also reckon it's time for this here tiger fella to man up and start treating women with respect. What kind of man goes behind his woman's back and cheats on her and his chillin.

I think it's none of my damn business.

I agree.  I fail to see why he would apologize to anybody except his wife and his sponsors.

     Sounded fake and scripted.

Haha his apology was played around my college on the tv's around the halls.

Ok, I know I said that I didn't care about this in my OP, but I have to admit that I do find this a little interesting.  It appears that attorney, Gloria Allred, plans to hound Tiger in an attempt to get him to issue some kind of public apology to her client, Veronica Daniels, otherwise known as mistress #8.  I'm sure a little cold hard cash wouldn't hurt either as Daniels is an ex-porn star who feels her name has been "dragged through the mud".

As someone who has little sympathy for Woods, I do have to say that what little chance he has of saving his marraige can, in no way, be helped by trying to make amends with any of his mistresses.

I could probably care less... but at that point it would involve actual effort on my part.  I can't be doing that now can I?

One day of not reading or watching news and I miss the story of the century!  Just my luck.

There was nothing wrong with his apology.  He is human like everyone else.  Nobody is perfect.  I don't get why everyone is making a big deal about it.  People cheat on their husbands/wives girlfriends/boyfriends everyday.  When they are caught they apologize just like tiger did.

I think Tiger Woods is a hero, and him apologizing tarnishes his hero image.  I mean how inspiring is it to know a guy from Ventura County playing golf can bang all these hot women.  It is truly a sign that every man can have that oppurtunity.

You're right he is a Hero, he got dirty with a bunch of hot women.  Same thing with Clinton, all the publicity just because he let Monica fondle him.  He just happened to be the President but he is no different than any other person.

He should not have apologized. No public apology was needed. It is none of OUR business.

To his sponsors and family, sure. Just because he was a celebrity doesn't mean his life is opened to our comments, slander, and hate.

Obviously Tiger Woods thinks it's our business so I guess it must be.  For the record -  I forgive you, Tiger!

They should make a television channel and anytime anyone cheats they can go on there and make a public apology. The reason is because we need to know everyone's business.

MadTv had a hilarious skit a few years back similiar to this.  I looked for it on YouTube, but it's not there.

It was called the "Kennedy Channel".  A 24-hour cable channel about America's most famous political family.  Among other things, one of its features was that it allowed the viewer to follow the latest Kennedy scandal.

Nike is responsible for his actions , everywhere he goes with Nike they keep saying:

In all seriousness, yes he needed to make a formal apology towards the public due to his public status, obviously first and foremost towards his wife and childern, but overall yes he needed to do this in public aswell as I am sure he is working on that with his wife and kids/family.

In the public he was a professional golfer and his public life ended once he left the grounds.

What he did off the golf course was no one's business except those that had a stake in his private life and they were not the public.

He did not do any injury to the public because they have no real stake in his personal life only his professional one.

If he was to word an apology to the public for what he owed them he would sound like a pompous ass - "I'm sorry to the public because you will be denied my uber golfing greatness while I take a break from golf to work on my private issues."

He is a public person and with that comes responsibility. Unfortunaly you youngsters don't understand that, no worries. And this is regardless how I personaly feel as I don't care what he did or has done.
