I wanna try out some games, but I really don't feel like downloading game after game after game to find something that's going to keep me for more than a couple minutes.
Most recently, I tried Allods Online......... didn't really like it. It was basically just a reskinned version of WoW, with a few other minor tweaks. It wasn't bad, but just not for me. I'm not a fan of WoW, if I wanted to play WoW I would play WoW.
What else is out there that I might like? I like happy graphics, not too cutesy, but I like happy bright colors. I don't really know what's all out there in the F2P world, because I haven't really played many in about 3 or 4yrs now or so.
I would prefer something newer with more updated graphics though.
The F2P Games I have Liked (in order):
Hostile Space
Mu Online
Monster & Me
Fairyland
Silkroad Online
9 Dragons
Shattered Galaxy
and probably a few others I can't think of. I just like good clean feeling games, with a fun combat system. Not really looking for a super grinder, but grinding isn't a problem if it's fun.

I'm looking forward to Fantasy Earth Zero, personally.
Also, there's always N.E.O., which uses the GameBryo engine (of Oblivion fame) and could be good but I never had a chance to explore it.
Check out the MUD I'm making!
I'm really looking for something to play now, just in what free time I have.
I took a look at some NEO videos and it looks amazingly bland. World looks vacant, the mobs seem stupid, and the combat doesn't look smooth at all. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Grand fantasia is not too shabby so far been trying it out last few days , really like the crafting and make your own stuff concept .
I'ld recomend you to try Aika when CB2 release, (this 24) I'm too an old school gamer and it isn't that much since I took back mmorpgs again and this one got me playing like MU and Silkroad use to, (in the first CB) it counts with a massive pvp system and nation's battles.
heys..
take a look at Soul of the Ultimate Nation.. S.U.N.
not a bad grinder, still in OB (since oct), update coming soon (3 days?) will raise level cap and more quests. excellent graphics, great unlock system, small community. keeps me occupied and the animations are polished. might be good for you

S.U.N. looks really good, I'll give it a try. I just hope that ijji doesn't make this one another CS depending like they're use to.
oh, nodoubt it will hit that road at some point. but at current, the release of updates is very slow. much of the cs items that will have impact aren't even close to release yet. players are just grinding it out and having fun, working out builds and towing the line. Its more like a closed beta than open atm. it's a good time killer for awhile.

As the game is now it is very f2p friendly, anything you need is given through quests (res/speed pots) and that probably won't change. But yes, ijji just can't resist breaking gameplay with CS, sooner or later they will release the overpowered items.
They are about to apply a new update on the 25th which will add 150 more quests and raise the level cap to 115, so you can't say they aren't atleast working on things. :P
Although I have a feeling we'll start to see the CS conversion soon after this update is applied, they will have some free time while players get through the new content, working on the CS during this period seems pretty likely.
(oh forgot to add SUN is not a grinder, you level up 10x faster doing quests then you would senselessly killing random things. The only grind involved is for those obsessed with completion of AC items.)
yup.. if you look at my first reply, my initial suggestion to the OP, you would have seen that you agree with me.
never said they were not. just slowly.

Tried Grand Fantasia and S.U.N.
Didn't really like Grand Fantasia, it seemed a bit childish. I don't care about the graphics, but the way the combat worked and how simplistic everything felt.
S.U.N. reminds me alot of Mu and I made it to lvl 9 before I had to log off. I think I might like this game, it feels like a throwback to a better generation of gaming. Like I said, I only made to lvl 9 so far, but I'm liking it. I was a little hesitant about it at first after watching some videos, but it seems much better than the videos made it out to be. All the vids were crappy anyway.

S.U.N. is pretty great, I still have it installed but haven't logged in in awhile. I'm downloading Karos right now, and if that doesn't do it going to see what RF has to offer. I think Karos looks a bit like S.U.N. so you might want to try it out if you're still looking.
Tell me how it goes, it looks pretty interesting. I've never heard of it.

Karos is a decent game.. yes it uses the same graphics as sun. (rather looks very similar)
The only issue with Karos is the pk system after L10. It is pretty hardcore in that you will get Pk'd often.. because of this much of the population has desinigrated. there was a recent update, yesterday i believe that increased level cap and added a new area.. it also has automated fishing for pot making and the like. As stated its a decent game and the GO's go out of thier way to make it pleasant. BUT, if your not into full on pvp or not accepting of being Pk'd often or camped, you may not like it.
there are plans in the future to limit somewhat the Pk abuse.. as it pretty much out of control. but there have been no definate conclusions. Just keep it in mind..
bots and spammers have not been an issue

I tried it, it starts in windowed mode and when I tried to go to full screen the game froze on me, so I gave up. Might try again later, SUN ran well so I don't see why this is giving me issues.
Is there an option to run SUN in Window mode?
I can't find it. I hate running MMOs fullscreen.
