Whats with the little gopher people who's name sounds like a type of air freshener? Do people really want to play a race like that?
Yes, actually. Gnomes, Halflings, Hobbits, Kender, Tarutarus, Gibberlings, Popori, etc. I love them all. I tend to choose the small, cute races (Dwarves are too ugly). That or the races that resemble animals.
I imagine they're more popular among female gamers though.
I nearly always play the smallest and least threatening looking race in the game. It makes the world and enemies feel bigger and gives the illusion of moving faster. Loved my Taru in FFXI, especially when even Carbuncle was bigger than me. :P

You just set yourself up for failure. That is easily distinguished as a sexist statement! Although females may flock to a 'cuter character', some prefer rough, tough looking females. For example, the female orcs, I wouldn't touch one with a 30meter stick, because well, they're hideous.

Hah, good point. Now I'm going to have to watch my back for all of the Orc chicks that want to beat me up for being sexist.

I think that translates to foreplay in orcish.
Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed. Current mmo's grouping: tinder. swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.
It will be so bad ass to play as a Popori Lancer. Little guy carrying around a big shield, and lance.. that are double the size of him, and while tanking something 40X times bigger then him
I think you'll be surprised at the number of people who will play Popori, some because they're cute and a little absurd. I've also heard some people say that they like playing smaller races because they're harder to spot and target in PvP, WAR goblins, for example.

Character customization isn't a make or break for me, so personally I don't mind much. Gameplay is what matters! But I think if they implement some type of like adjustimzation (See how I did that?) to your armor, it would add some individuality.

Yep, I always play the little people. I mean when I played WoW, bein' a Gnome Death Knight was just awesome. It's so fun to be 1ft tall and still kill something 100ft tall.
I agree with the original poster. Though the race may or may not be considered innovative, if I play the game I will definitely have to roll one of these for pvp. Since everything in Tera must be aimed, a smaller character will have a smaller hitbox and thus will enjoy markedly better survivability in a pvp brawl. This is why I would object to this race, because it will inevitably be exploited in this manner, and would force many players who want to pvp into a race they wouldn't normally choose.

I would think that if this race is found in beta to be too difficult to hit, they might lower its HP, or make it be not as agile as other races. Just like maybe the big races will get a HP or defense boost.
Then again... they may not be harder to hit... sure they're smaller, but fatter too. The elves and other medium sized races are tall but skinny... so we're just re-shaping the hitbox...
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.
I don't think they are fatter than elves, I think the overall area of the hitbox would have to be smaller judging from the pictures. Also they wouldn't reduce the agility of a small character, they usually get more dexterity right? Technically they should for realisms sake have a much slower move speed, but that won't happen.

yes, what is not to like about them

Dude, come on. Tarutaru from FFXI were awesome!
On my server, we had a weelad Taru named Jimbobsonofgod .
First time I saw that, I open-mouthed drooled hot coffee all over myself, laughed, and screamed, all within about 15 secs.
Little people in a virtual world need loving too! (Just less of it, though it always seem they receive the most)

Think of Klingon mating rituals, they are basically just Orcs in space.

Well you'll have to think of all those sick perverted males that will play Popori females haha XD.
That's right! It wasn't me who was wrong. It was the world!

That's why I rolled a Gnome tanker in WoW when it was still fun and challenging. I also tried to play a Taru NIN to tank with in FFXI!
Yeah, I am sick and tired of human and human like races. They are bland and unimaginative.
I play the races that are out there, elves and humans just don't do it for me.
I want to play a FANTASY race. Not a bland, unimaginitive race like elves.
I find it cool they drag their huge weapons as they wield them.

Can you play any race as any class or are you kept to the normal eastern locked class / race / gender ?
I think the Korean developers who made this game should have put a character customisation instead of this character preset thing.

@ OP:
No I don't like them. It's a big enough turn off for me to turn me away from the game and so far they've succeeded.
