Bad Company 2

Freaking great game. Idk about the single player, but the multiplayer is awesome. I just can't get enough of it, I've been playing almost all day, every day since I bought it last week.

Idk what it is about the game that makes it so addicting. I love FPSs, but this one is just completely addicting. I guess it's how the character progression is, the next thing is always just arms reach away and it's always "just one more round".

Not to mention, it's probably the most realistic FPS I've ever played in my entire life. When you run, it feels so natural. The breathing movement in the scope, feels so natural. The jumping, etc. etc. etc. everything just feels natural, instead of faked like other games do. Plus, the fact that the bullets actually travel is just awesome.

If you want to add me on the PC Version, it's TheHatter.

i actually bought it the other day and i have never ever played a FPS before in my life.  There just isnt an mmo i want to play right now so thought i would try it.  I do think its an awesome game but man do i suck right now lol.  I guess i will get better once i play more cause its frustrating but i totally agree its a very well put together game.

in a FPS game however you need to have good reflexes and pay attention to the sounds around you, ive played all of the battlefield games my self and yes this one is quite addicting :)

Almost have everything unlocked, won't be long now, currently rank 21 , ofc you always unlock something with a new rank, but within the class you play there is only so much you can unlock :)

Battlefield is a great PC FPS. I'm not surprised Bad Company 2 is good, but I'm still glad it is.

How do you apply for veteran status? I went to the website and linked my EA account. Tried going back to the veteran site and it just sends me back to the EA site. It's a endless looop.

the Veteran site is down right now... but when its up go to

    veteran.battlefield.com

and you have to link your other battlefield games you own to it. (cd keys)

Not much point aside from a number in front of your name and a shitty gun unlocked from the begining (m1?)

Ive had the game about a week now and I am really loving it. I think the only negative I have found in the game so far is the team balance.  Every server I play on has the same problem, the people on the losing team switch to the winning team and make it very very unbalanced. I was playing a match tonight and about 2 minutes in, I realized we had no one to shoot at and when I checked the score, we had 10 players vs 1.

Hmmm I'm rather tempted to get this game. I've heard rather good reports about it. I've always been a big fan of the battlefield games. Absolutely brilliant multiplayer fun.......much more enjoyable than anything a crappy mmo could ever offer in my opinion. In fact games like this are real mmos.

The only doubts I have about Bad Company 2 is the size of the maps and number of players per game. I always loved the scale of the battles that could be fought in Battlefield 2 and 2142.......32 and 64 player battles being fought on large interesting maps with plenty of vehicles to control and control points to take. From what I've read Bad Company 2 seems to be of a much smaller and limited scale. The maps are apparently tiny in comparison and I've read that the maximum number of players is 32 which seems like a step backwards to me. I guess the destructable terrain and fancy graphics make up for it though. I'm sure I will be hooked if I get it though........although not as hooked as I would be on Battlefield 3 if it ever comes out

It's a great game, it's good to see that while every MMO sucks these days there are always alternatives.

It's over 9000 times better than MW 2, that's for sure.

Personally, I like to play on the Conquest or Rush servers.

I've only played BF2 and it was years and years ago since I played it and I don't remember anything... because I didn't really like it, so I don't know if it's something that's in the BF series or not.

But on Rush servers, the attacking team has to destroy 2 points. If those points get destroyed, then the defending team gets pushed back and the attacking team starts where the defenders were. The attacking team has to destroy 2 points, 3 times and if you get to the 3rd set of points then the map ends up being pretty huge.

Plus, it's really fun if you're on the defender side and switch to a Recon Sniper right before the attackers take you last point. Then you can sit up somewhere behind them and just pick them off by flies. I went a 19k 0d round last night. Gotta wait till they can see where your team is at, or they'll quickly figure out you're behind them.

I think Conquest servers are bigger than Squad deathmatch.... not sure about that though. They seem bigger, but I haven't payed much attention.
