This game is pretty good.
So I left wow about 2 months ago and have been trying different trials and such, right now playing Mass effect 2 mostly. After reading the articles about the game and all the stuff that went on with Derek Smart and David Allen I decided what the heck let me give it a try. So my wife and joined up and logged in.
We both really like the game, it's actually enjoyable, well the first day we just smiled at all the stuff that was pretty much taken from wow (warriors get a shout that last 2 min that raises group attack power!) also some of the things they took from Warhammer and Eve heheh but the second and third days we really started noticing the differences, the models and art work the /silly emotes and everything else it does have a wowish feel but yet a little different. It’s by no means a “hard” game. By that you can pick it up and start playing assuming you have played any mmo before and the combat is taken from wow so right no nothing special. However it’s different as well which makes it enjoyable. It’s almost like Blizz created another MMO quickly to hold people over LOL.
I was scared by how much negativity there was about the game however I noticed most posts are older so I’m guessing they have really put in some time fixing it up.
Anyway looks like my wife and I are staying, and with no sub that makes it a tad better for us as we are casual with a capital C

It does have some interesting ideas of its own buried under everything else. However, it's leadership is just one disaster after another. Derek Smart? Yeah no. This guy has a "history" that I will avoid getting into lest he come to his thread and throw one of his famous temper tantrums but suffice to say I wouldn't deal with anything he's involved in.
Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts.

Good point, however to me a game is a game, I don’t really care who made it, who owns it and who is in charge. If the game is fun I play when it no longer is fun I stop I never really got into the whole politics side of things. If they run the game into the ground it’s no biggie for me I’ll find a new game, until then I’ll play the game.
Friend you and I got very different opinions of "good". However alganon NEEDS people to play it if its going to keep alive and give me my weekly installments of Derek Smart. Therefore hope you play it for as long as you keep like and reccomend it to anyone and everyone you know of who might enjoy it.
