They have already altered the game in hopes of masking major technical issues. (by the last poll for the worse) I'm referring to the book and background additions. Skills still are screwed up since the change and it did little for the "database" issue.
Somehow I doubt you're referring to this poll, the only one I found referring to major technical issues and whether people found it made things worse.

Theres no arguement or debate, its a fact. I could care less for your feelings on the subject and no that isnt the poll. I was referring to the poll regarding my post as stated

I saw some @sskicking monsters in their trailers, and their world looks pretty awesome. I wonder if they could raise some cash licensing out assets like that?
Regarding buying the game though, I'd like to go explore their world, but I read that it's really empty. If they put in some things to discover and maybe a mapmaking feature, I think I could waste some time there.

Ya i do not understand why games make their world so empty, even if they can't afford to make new content, just litter the emptiness with mobs you already made.Darkfall did the same thing,i could walk for an hour and see nothing,i just shake my head and think of laziness.
If it is not laziness, because dotting some more mobs around the world is absolutely effortless, one person in a few hours could manage it,then what is the problem? The ONLY thing i can think of is,developers are doing a poor job of zoning their maps, and if they try to add anymore content, the loading/hitching gets real bad, other than that,i can't think of anything.
None the less, this is an Indie developer, using their own money,i wish people would realize that and treat them like an Indie developer and not expect Blizzard/SOE/Square here.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

A business is a business. I expect the same level of service and quality of merchandise from a independent merchant as i do a major chain. SV is trying to charge Six Flags prices for a tire and rope swing.

My guess is it's intentional since the players are supposed to fill the blanks with their cities and the like. The issue here of course is that:
A) You need a lot of people on the server to make that happen, and SV have said they're looking to get relatively few subs to break even on. Plus the fact that so far the servers haven't really demonstrated they can handle any large number of players.
The players need to have a point to owning the land. Right now, given how empty the world is, there isn't really a point to owning a particular piece of land other than for the sake of it. The only things you can do right now is craft weapons and armour and kill other players.

This I agree with

I also agree with this. Getting the server to work with large numbers of players should be top priority.

This is where you are absolutely wrong.
If this was a themepark game, with faction warfare and the like, I would say yes, we need some kind of territory control incentive or other reason to hold land. However, in a sandbox game where you have the ability to ACTUALLY control territory, and build structures on said territory, and otherwise "own" a piece of the world, there really is no need for that kind of crap, especially since most devs get the absolutely terrible solution of "Lets add a gear incentive 8D!" which ends up breaking the whole mechanic because people will exploit the hell out of it to grind the most gear as possible from it. People in UO owned houses/castles for the sake of owning houses/castles. You didn't need some artificial bullshit goading you to buy it, nor did you need some lame reward mechanic to circle someone elses house and bring it down/loot it out. There is no need for an artificial "point" to owning land in Mortal, and such things are BY FAR the last thing the game needs to worry about right now as it's not even functional.

About a year ago, when SV was asked why the world was so small (community was expecting more space), they replied they'd rather have a small rich world, than a big empty one.
