Should closed beta testers get to keep their characters into the live game?
Some closed beta testers are threatening to not play the game if their characters are wiped when release comes.
Skill training in this game is time based, you gain a set amount of points every day and you spend these points on buying and upgrading skills. Players with highly trained skills when the game goes live would have a tremendous advantage against those who did not get the chance to get free highly trained characters during the beta test.
Every MMORPG i've ever known has wiped closed beta characters, and most of them wipe open beta characters too.
What do you think of this? Should they allow closed beta testers to gain a huge advantage by letting them keep their characters into the released game?

No.
Because that defeats the purpose of closed beta & only serves to justify the opinion that beta is no longer beta just a head start, when you join beta just to gain a head start advantage you are less interested or focused on actually testing & reporting your findings & more interested in exploring the games systems & weaknesses to gain as big an advantage as you can before release day.
No. You are already getting free access to a game and supposed to be testing the game adn reporting bugs for development. Now I wouldn't be adverse to getting a coupon for a new bot!!!
