Sacred

Well... Sacred isn't really a MMORPG, because it's kinda Diablo style, but I'm just wondering if anyone plays it? It's a pretty fun game, although mine got erased so I gotta start all over image. Also, anyone got the expansion? (if it is out yet image)

This one a quite a nice game, but definitely not a MMORPG. So shouldn't this be posted at Offtopic?

Sacred is no way near Diablo 2.  Diablo 2 is the best hack and slash rpg ever made.

If by effort you mean hours of mindlessly wading through the same mobs with slightly different colors, like Diablo 2, then yes.  This is all in my opinion.  I thought both games were boring.  (How many times do you need to kill the same creatures over and over to feel satisfied?)  One thing I will say to Sacred's benefit, is that I liked the fact you could actually explore the world (exploration in Diablo 2 is just bland hallways and rooms, and or a tree) and better customize your character (and playing a vampire was fun for a second).  In the end tho, it was just too tiresome for me.

I try to keep an open mind about H&S games, and Sacred was one I really enjoyed. I rate it up there with Diablo 1-2. I still play it when I get feed up with the current MMOG's out there.

But diablo was just the one, the first really good hack/slash game. Thats why I like it more than Sacred.

I think you're apt to confuse people on this board with that "first kiss" analogy.

I played the demo, and IMO it is not comparable with D2. Sacred has a total different gameplay than D2. I am myself a big fan of D2, and when I searched for a replacement I realised there is no good H&S game that's as good as D2. Sacred has some things like D2, but there are a lot of things that are crap. The characters are not well chosen, the Skills system is not that good. To say it in short my point is: D2 > Sacred.

And I also believe that Diablo is definitely a MMORPG. The best game experience of D2 is the online play, and after all those years battle.net is still crowded with D2 players. I have to admit that there are many players who are immature (yelling at everybody) and you can also find many players cheating.

I also have this "first kiss" experience, cause the first RPG I ever played was D2. I played all characters, the whole storyline, and I can still enjoy slashing some monsters, even in Act I.
