no, you'd just get banned if you didnt buy the game and just downloaded it off the internet.

Of course, even if you bought the game yourself, you'd be singled out and required to prove you bought the game whenever a GM felt like it due to your "class". Better keep the receipt on you at all times. Of course my "class" would be allowed to throw away their receipt(after we were sure the game worked fine) like normal and not have to keep track of it. You know what buddy... maybe you should just choose another starting "class". Oh, that's right...you can't...

funny you should mention this image. My Lineage 2 account got hacked and i couldnt provide them with enough information to get the info back, so they just kept it perma-banned. I have no interest in going back, but now i'm recording my cd-key and other info i used starting up my game accounts.... sure seems like i've learned my lesson never to make that mistake again.

EDIT: before this thread gets locked, you may want to look at the subforum ... since this thread is political.

everytime you handed in a quest to an npc, he'd ask you for your paper work AFTER you did the minor jobs for him.

Well lets be honest here. Every other game asks for your paper work Before You get into it, And if your paper work isent avalible and your in the game, You get into trouble in All other games.

So Why all the Hate on a Group of crazy Developers trying to protect their NPC's from Pirates? (Keeping the game Puns going)

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

the problem would be that my predecessors, 6 generations at that, have been playing the game for a long time. but all of the sudden because of my class, the npcs want to varify that i am allowed to do quests. while others who have been playing the game just as long, dont have to show anything because of their classes. thats the problem.

thats a pretty big assumption, anyone who doesnt have their cd-key with them are under probable cause or suspicion. Carry it with you and move on with your in-game life.

It would be a game where there's a free-status and member-status.  People would have to pay in order to obtain member status, which allows them access to faster money gain, more and better items, and more protection against monsters, but the game would lack any real piracy protection, and non-members would be able to find hacks to give themselves member status.  The hacked "members" would then buy items from the member world, take them to the free world, and trade for profit.  The legit "members" would complain about how their hard earned money with which they've used to legally obtain  membership is wasted on maintaining game servers that are being overflooded with non-legit members.  In the meanwhile, the free world is overrun with players who PK and loot new players for gold because free world servers do not have the technological capabilities of supporting all those players as well as city-guard NPCs.

If Arizona were an mmo I would have like 100000 PVP kills by now.
