If you thought the Deathwing leak from the other day was something, you ain't seen nothing yet! MMO-Champion has a veritable Cataclysm media blowout going on right now, with tons of screenshots from the Friends & Family Alpha test depicting a number of the newly revamped Old World zones such as: the Twilight Highlands, Ashenvale, Thousand Needles, Hyjal, Azshara, Stormwind and Orgrimmar.
But wait, there's more! You'll also find world maps for the aforementioned zones (as well as some not shown), images of tons of new NPC and creature models, a new talent calculator with data from the Alpha, and details on a number of the new achievements, titles, and crafting recipes.
Of course, there be spoilers ahead, so you've been warned! If you don't care and just want to see the good stuff, head on over to MMO-Champion.

Man, someone gone on a leaking spree They will prolly find out who did it though.. i was in the friends and family alpha for TBC and there was only like 5-20 people online at any given time the first weeks.. So i figure it cant be that hard to find the one who is leaking..
Goblin car, lol.. so lame with the helicopters, motorcycles and now cars??!! those are such immersion breakers imo One of the reasons i dont play wow anymore.. so fucking stupid..
Currently Playing Path of Exile
Wow those are lots and lots of screenshots. Thanks for the link though..looks very interesting.
Most of the picture links are broken.
The name of the guy who has leaked everything...

All of the links I have looked at seemed to work okay. Site might just be getting a bit overloaded at the moment :-)
Darkshore looks really awesome. Got to be my new favorite zone.
skywhall?where the eck is that lol!theres a lot of new area from the look of these picture!
I completely agree. The goblin gyrocopters were true to the RTS, though.
Wintergrasp (and the other siege content) was a good idea (in theory), but the players should be riding dinosaurs or giant monsters like hydras instead of vehicles.

Looks suspicious to me. Blizzard never lets shit leak out like this. I'm thinking because their playerbase and popularity (while still pretty strong btw) is shrinking they let this info slip to build hype. Even though I think I may be done with WoW for good, it all looks interesting to me. More leaking of the good stuff might boost subs.
I don't see them worrying about a very very minute loss is players. These players aren't really a loss anyway. Most are just people taking a break until cata. Same thing happened going into BC and WOLK.
It looks pretty boring to me. I thought they at least would have turned Thousand Needles into Thousand Islands, but they are still stone pillars, just not nearly so high, and you have to swim from one to the other.

to last poster!you are probably right in 12 month on xfire they number went from 500000 to around 250000 to 300000
a big drop even for wow.so it means they might not lose customer but player are losing interest in wow.and the fact big guns like FORSAKEN WORLD,GUILD WARS 2 ETC are around the corner may shift the gamer toward other title
so by releasing these at this time it will keep interest up for wow(at least long enough till it get released)thats what blizzard hope probably.hard to say what gamer will do !it wouldnt take a big push this year from the other title i mentionned to eat huge shunk of wow market.blizzard knows this!
we ll have to wait and see.for me vanilla was wow .all expension after were just a shadow of wow .(vanilla) there is another tread about this and there are youtube video with some preliminary exemple what made vanilla wow mmorpg as opposed to the morpg it has become!
I think "underwhelming" is the best I can come up with here.
Make the old stuff even MORE cartoony, and add lava here and there. That's an expansion?
Maybe they're counting on the Facebook integration to really make the game *rolls eyes*
None of the big guns will appear this year, so WoW CATA has no competition in that area. If it'd appear a year after that, the story would've been different.
I'd expected the changes to be more drastic and the graphic overhaul to be more visible, but there's some nice screenshots among them. Guess we'll have to see.

Good God, that's not a leak it's a motherlovin' flood.
There are some major changes in a lot of the zones...and others not so much. To those griping about it still being cartoony...honestly did you really think the entire art design was going to change?
Still, the new Stormwind and Org are very impressive.
Tol barad looks a bit....unfinished
I cannot post links (and dont PM me) but I am sure there are live streams around *ahem*
HAHAHA.
Underwhelming entirely. All the 'new' zones are just more cluttered. No more open spaces. Just doodads left and right, packed in tight.
This isn't news. This is PR. This is info leaked to match hype that's being built for E3 by other sections of the gaming industry. And what has been leaked is nothing more than extra doodads and shader changes. FUN!
That is exactly right, and we're not saying NO to save WoW, because it is already a lost cause. We are saying NO to dissuade the next group of greedy suits who decide to emulate Blizzard and Cryptic, etc.
We can prevent some of the future games from spewing this crap, but the sooner we start saying no, the better the results will be.
So - Stand up, pull up your pants, and walk away.

It's more (only better) of what millions love.. nothing wrong with that.
I think this looks awesome. I actually left wow for awhile because I needed a break from games in general. The one major thing that brought me back to wow was cataclysm xpac. Area's look great, all the city upgrades. I'm excited for the new look.
To the people complaining about cars, are you serious? Things like motorcycles and cars are ruining the game for you? Explain tanks, zepplins, guns, and elevators to begin with. You pick cars the thing that ruins it for you?
Underwhelming? You do realize you will be able to FLY all over those zones, right? That alone is a feat in development for them. YOu also aren't seeing all the quest changes. So basically, if you leveled a toon before Cataclysm, doing it after will feel like a completely different world.
Sheesh. Nothing makes you people happy except bitching about everything.
saw about 2 hour of streaming various area of alpha core cataclysm!all i can say is if they havent worked on a solution either
trough remote differantial compression or ms donnybrook!im sorry to say even instanced this game will lag like no game ever lagged before!the game was empty no npc no pvp at all and it lagged so imagine when the server are full of player looking like the graphic in dalaran and you get the idea of blizzard problem of lag will face !but then maybe blizzard has a solution already
working on their test but the alpha core i saw if supplied like the wotlk copy will lag a ton!
Forsaken World is "big guns"? Ok lost your cred right there, couldn't read past that.
Fly, like you can fly already in Outland, Northrend and most MMOs released in the past few years?
Oh yes, I guess I missed that revolutionary aspect.
And you mean they're going to bowl us over with 10,000 new "Kill X mobs" quests instead of the previous 10,000 "Kill X mob" quests?
The envelope, it's just bursting from all the pushing!
The point is, this is an update to stale old content. An update, not an "expansion"...
