Well I am looking for a mmorpg that meets the following requirements :
-F2P
-Has a Shield Class (this is a must!)
-Good graphics (none of those cartoon/anime-ish kinda games)
-Nice game engine and nice skill animations ( none of those games where hitting/skill casting looks and feels weird ,I want something similar to Dekaron but nothing from PWE )
-it can be either 2.5D or 3D ( for the sake of this thread don't start arguing about whether 2.5D dimension excists (-.-), by this I mean something with 3D chars and 2D background )
-Nice looking world and nice looking monsters ( I don't wanna fight penguins in the forest -.-' or giant floating heads that look like they came out from a donkey's ass )
-Nice pvp system ( if possible I want it to be pvp based but I heard that there's not much of those around :S)
-I do want a nice pvp system but a couple of nice raids wouldn't hurt ( I will be OK if the game is pve based although I prefer pvp)
-Playable in the EU ( I don't care if it's global or EU only , just EU playable )
I previously played :
-Cabal Online - it just felt like the world is ,well, fake :S like you're going from one room to another and dungeons sucked sandy balls .
-Dekaron - loved it but I can't connect anymore for some reason :S plus the game crashed every 10 min when I was able to connect so maybe I'm looking for a stable game similar to Dekaron
-PW - Crap looking giant heads, penguins in the forest , weird looking skills , hitting that felt weird , unnecessary content that just makes the game confusing rather that enjoyable , no shields WTF !?
-BOI - Extremely zen/luck based ,again unnecessary content like crafting things that drop from every single monster and pile up your inventory, I like my weapons giant and epic looking but I like my shields the same way , here shields just don't add up and look weird ,small and make me feel gay . I have a giant suit , a giant weapon and a small shield ... WTF ?!

Well I am sorry that I posted a few more guidelines than the regular posts on this forum in order to try and help the people who are trying to help me find my next mmorpg and that led you to the conclusion that I want companies to try to please me and that I am picky so you had to troll me (-.-).
-If this is what u're applying to with your post let me sum it up for you in the words of a regular post on this forum , I want an f2p game with nice graphics and good action that's not a product from PWE .
-On the other hand if you're applying to the fact that I want a good FREE game and thus you're trolling every gamer that wants a good free mmorpg keep in mind that not all of us live in countries with a high life standard and that the regular 15$ a month or more for a game aren't very cheap , in my country for instance there are a handful of people who actually buy original games for which you have to pay once, since there isn't a market in which people don't sell cracked software for the price of around 2-5$ for a game so the thought of spending 15$ a month for a game is idiotic . So if you live in a country like USA or Germany or other more advanced countries you may find this astounding or funny keep in mind that there are countries where the average payment is 300$, plus you have to pay bills and rent which leaves you with little money so you can't afford 15$ a month for a game .
Anyways thanks to every1 else for their constructive replies .
Cronous looks empty and has bad graphics , while the co.91 games are rumored to be extremely cash shop based , even members on their forums are complaining :S
I guess I should wait for Vindictus or C9 to come in EU and hopefully free of charge :S . I will keep checking this post for replies tho just in case some1 thought of something else.
If you can be a little less picky Requiem Bloodymare was one of the coolest free to play games ive tried. The characters have that asian/gothic artist style but the game over all was really fun.It played much like all other mmos(WoW,LotrO, control wise) but where i liked it most was its blood and gore efffects.Difinately worth a try.It also has PVP and a tank/shield class and is pretty easy.My little brother with no mmo experience rolled a tank and i was a rogue and we did okay.
Note- The PvP much like pvp in any game with item shops was over-run with people who spent countless moneyy twinking their toon.I never tried it but from what it sounded like pvp in Requiem consisted of Battle grounds type matches like WoW and War had.The item shops would be one of the only negatives i could think of the short time i played if you are against them.I could care less about item shops really.More money leads to more expansions.
Hope this helps. That game was a good fun game.
No man, I really am not trolling you. I just don't think beggers can be choosers. If you want to play a game for free, a game that someone put thousands of man hours into and expects to be paid, then you should take what you can get. Only people who fork out money have a right to be picky. That's all I was getting at. If I were in your shoes, I'd pick the best F2P game out there, that requires the least amount of cash shop committment. I certainly wouldn't make a long list of demands, that would even give P2P games a run for their money.
Erm you don't think beggars can be choosers ?! - How am I a beggar ? -...if I don't spend 15$ a month for a game and if I don't spend money on cash shop I am a beggar ? ... Or were you applying that I beg for games ?... I don't beg for games I am looking for a game . Whatever you meant I'll just assume that you made a bad comparison and I'll stop there .
,, Only people who fork out money have a right to be picky" - So you're saying that if I don't spend any money I shouldn't post in forums that are meant to help/suggest mmorpgs to other people , if you read my previous post I told what i want in short notes -an f2p mmorpg with a nice action feel,a shield class ,good graphics and not from PWE .
,,If I were in your shoes, I'd pick the best F2P game out there"-Well that is what I am doing , picking the best f2p mmorpg out there that suits me ,although you bring up the suggestions, I don't expect a perfect match ,but like everyone else I expect something close.
I never learnt how to multiquote :S. So that suggestion about requiem, youtube and google are looking it up as i type this xD.
F2P games in my experience, with very few exceptions, generally suck. They are usually grindfests that limit what you can do unless you fork out some cash in their item shops. They lure you in with the promise of a rich and fun-filled game experience without having to pay anything, only to sucker-punch you when you discover that you can't have that nice armor of awesomeness or sword of omg without having to cough up some real money.
The truth is, these F2P developers are going to get money for their work one way or another. Be it from you in their item shops and/or from advertisements on their web sites or even (shudder) in-game.
If you want a fun, immersive game that won't cost you a dime ever, then your choices are going to be very limited and your game experience isn't going to meet your desires... it probably won't even come close.
