first of all. is there still missing quests and grinding? Pve is still lacking.

How is pvp?   Crappy many other games have better pvp.

what about the pop? is there many players?  The Population is playable but reducing.

Is aion fun to play? In my opinion the first 10-30 levels are decent after that the game falls hard on its face.

A man or "gamer" should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.

Still missing meaningful quests, though there are enough to take you to level cap providing you don't miss alot of them and do dungeons, group stuff etc.

PvP is hit and miss, sometimes great fun, other times non-existant or imbalanced.

Population is decent, and they are merging the few low pop servers in June which means that there will no longer be low pop servers. 1.9 releasing 2nd of June and 2.0 in Q3 mean that the population is more likely to increase during the coming months and not decrease.

Fun is subjective and depends on the mentality of the player. I've got a lvl50 main and lvl47 alt and enjoy the game. Some players quit at lvl30 due to the "grind", either because they solo grind or have only one goal, and that is getting to lvl50 asap. Those players create their own hell.

Depending on how you look at it and play it, it can be either great fun or awfully boring.

I have a question. Have the drop rates in dungeons improved. With the ground abyss coming and some other nice changes and additions coming I want to re sub, but the drop rates in dungeons made me pull out the little hair I had left. As I see it, bosses should drop something useful at least. Maybe not of epic quality, but at least an improvement for someone.

All depends on the reasons you quit.

To be honest not much has changed since you quit, but on the 2nd of June the first big patch (which is more than 3gbs) releases and it fixes a lot of player's QQs while adding new mechanics and stuff, so it's possible you would enjoy it much more then.

EDIT: @Leucent: That's among the changes in the upcoming patch. Drop rates from bosses in dungeons are getting a considerable 4x increase (if it was 5% now it's 20% for example) in 1.9. If you were to resub I'd suggest you do so on the 2nd of June.

Wait till after june 2, since servers will be merging and 1.9 patch will be live by then.

I recently resubbed and am having a good time. Not trying to race to 50 with a fresh launch has me enjoying the game a lot more. But I'm sure I will change my mind when I hit the abyss and am owned by high level geared toons.

I have to ask, what do you mean by meaningful quests? I was under the assumption that the inclusion of Campaign Quests was meant to give the game some meaningful story.

Yea I'm not talking about campaign quests, these do give some meaningful story with cutscenes etc., however I'm talking about the other normal quests around, repeatable quests mostly. There are a lot of repeatable quests, along with gathering quests and killing quests.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are much more filler quests than campaign-caliber quests.
