What happened to my weekend?

I was going to ride my Harley all weekend but I re-subbed Friday night and now it's monday morning and I can only remember hacking off limbs and heads!!! I can't remember the last time I became so enthralled with a game that I only stopped playing to eat and sleep! I was going to play WoW this summer when I can't ride but screw that game. AoC rocks!!!
I played for about 3 months at launch and couldn't stick with AoC. I tried again last year sometime when i was offered free game time and still couldn't stick with it. This time around though I'm finding this game to be a lot of fun! Could it be that I chose to play a class based on it's description rather than popularity? Who cares really!
I can't wait to get home from work to continue my journey!

Im in the same boat, i played at release and didnt stick with it (could be because i chose a guardian as a safe bet though as i usually play tanks and was a bit fed up of them!). I resubbed about a week and a half ago and have only played casually and im level 41, it is such a better game now and the servers are always very busy and mostly friendly. They replaced the extremely complicated armour stats with one more akin to other MMO's which i am finding nice. Im playin a herald of xotli right now and am loving the game, only stopping this week due to University exams ha. If you played at launch id reccomend you play now and see how much it has improved!

I'm currently well into the free trial, and have to say it's a heck of a lot of fun. In fact it's now been well over a year since i was so caught up in a game so early on.
Best part is that when you start out you have NO IDEA just how much your gonna get pawned by random sorcerers and stuff.

I too quit after release and find myself loving it now. I probably spent a total of 15 - 20 hours playing this weekend and could have played more if it wasn't for the wife aggro. The only thing I am not liking about it is deciding which class to play. But, I do have it narrowed down to HoX, Barb, and BS. I can see this being my MMO for a long time to come.

Yea, i have noticed that people LOVE to complain around here. Hell i bet if someone loed a game they wouldn't even think to post about it most of the time. 0o
Yeah, HoX's are a super fun class to play. I may come back when I get enough scrilla to buy the xpack, left mine at lvl 50.

Heh similar boat as the rest albeit not quite so hardcore.
I was lucky enough through a industry contact to get into the AOC beta very very early on and just found it all very lacklusture but being a great fan of Howardswritings plodded through doing more than my fair share of bug reporting, then came the fileplanet beta when the game was nowhere near ready both content and tech wise and I knew that spelt doom needless to say the launch date was then announced and my pre-order got cancelled I was not going to pay for that mess launch AOC was going to be.
Roll forward nearly 2years and I decided to give the trial a whirl at xmas time and enjoyed albeit work commitments and my 2nd child just being born stopped me grabbing a copy at that time.
Then came May and work died down a little kids started sleeping right again and I have that few hrs spare again so grabbed it and the game trulyhas come on leaps and bounds especially at a tech level. My main system plays it loveley inall its DX10 glory and my laptop can more than run it niceley in DX9. Thats not to say it hasnt come on leaps and bounds in terms of gameplay also as it really has as many good systems have been implemented and the storywriting is good I just wish there was a auto attack option for those times when you are semi watching the kids

I've been playing for a bit, and honestly...I want to like Assassin so much. But I think I am just horrible at it. Is there a class that is similar but easier that a Khitan can be?

Try a Barbarian, they are easy-mode
Sadly they cannot be Khitan but you can still travel over to their lands

What are you having problems with the combos and positioning? In which case you are better off going for a mage class (Necro, Dem. etc) or even Bear shaman which is melee dps and heals.
Spend some time reading the 'sin forums on the official forums, man. Some great information can be found there by people who have "been there, done that" with the classes.
Hey TsukieU if your after some Sin reading, check out http://aochideout.blogspot.com/ and the forums there. There are many honest posts giving the pro's and con's, plus lots of different speccing help. A lot of people who play sin's myself included typically say the benefits come later on at the higher levels and the road there can be frustrating at points forsure.
Imo the link above is the best place for AoC, Sin info on the interwebs.
