What do Punkie Fort, Sweet Mushroom Farm, and Valley of the Void have in common? They weren’t named by our players! With a whole lot of new content coming up fast, we want to give all of you a chance to put your own personal spin in Aika Online!

We’ve recently given you a sneak peak of one of our brand new maps, Darkrane Forest. Your job is to slap a name on this gorgeous waterfall area located inside of the forest!


 


If we like your idea the best, not only will we put it inside of the game – you’ll also win the following fabulous prizes:

  1. A slick Panasonic Blu Ray Player

  2. An in-game item package: 1 Potion of Destruction [15-day] and 50 Portal Scrolls

Additionally, we’ll be giving away prizes to 14 honorable mentions! These winners will receive an in-game package of 1 Potion of Destruction [5-day] and 20 Portal Scrolls.


 


How to Participate:

  1. Sign in to your MMORPG.com account.

  2. Comment on this News Post what you would name this area in Darkrane’s Forest.

  3. MMORPG.com will notify the winners chosen by the Aika Team via e-mail.

Contest Schedule:

  1. Contest will begin on May 28th, 2010    

  2. The deadline of the contest will be June 1st, 2010

  3. Winner will be announced by June 5th 2010.

 


Winner Selection:

  1. One first place winner will be determined as the MMORPG.com user that comes up with the best name for the new area. Criteria for this is based upon:

  2. Fitting the lore and style of Darkrane Forest and Aika Online.

  3. Creativity

  4. Originality

  5. 14 runner ups will be determined as the MMORPG.com user that comes up with next best names for the new are based on the criteria above.

    ... Tears of the Kynari ...

     

    Reason: Kynari is the name of the Race living here ... Tears/Waterfall/Godrays would represent the dispair and unrest because of the Civil War going on.

    Sacred Fall of Kisia....

     

    giving many have fallen in this area it maybe seen to many as a sacred site=Sacred

    WaterFall=Fall

    giving that most waterfalls are at or near lakes/rivers Kisia is taking from the Lake that is most likely where this waterfall will be located

    Tranquility's Downfall

    Darkrane Forest used to be filled with peace and tranquility until traitorous Kynari Darkrane influenced the Lakian Army to declare war on his own race which looked like the downfall of the Kynari and their forest.

    Tranquility's Downfall also represents the waterfall and how gorgeous it is.. Just looking at it puts you into a awe of serenity.

    Crystal Darkrane Falls

    No elaborate evocative reasoning.  Darkrane identifies the forest, and I chose Crystal to precede it because the sparkling water makes me think of gemstones and crystals shining in the light.

    Freedom's Hold.

    In this area a war was fought, lives were given in sacrifice for that freedom. In the end freedom was won. We can see the price of that freedom as there is a peacefulness and calm in this area held onto by the surrounding area.

    Verdant Grove

    verdant, because it is lush with green vegetation.

    grove, because it is a small wood without much underbrush.

    Serenity Falls

    Serenity would aptly describe the beautiful waterfall as well as the peaceful forest before the appearance of the Kynari Darkrane. Falls refers to the waterfall, though in more recent times, the name may be a reflection of the shattered tranquility of Darkrane.

    Ranenymphs Refuge

     

    Reason:

    This name was given by the local inhabitants, who claim to have seen nymphs along the shore and near the waterside basking in the sunlight, while crossing the bridge you see in the background. The name was given in their belief that the nymphs came here in seek of refuge; not waning to be involved in the civil war, as well as escaping the many dangers of Darkrane Forest.
