they either put out a expansion of some sort because i know for a fact half the people tht once played will comr back for it and do nothing and let it die out
I hope they adopt some kind of F2P model, with expansions being additional content, and if they do make a f2p model no weapons, armor, or damage potions, since its a pvp based game, that will just cause too much unrest in the community.
Until the day a Dev Team put togeather a MMO that is challanging and holds a community togeather with plenty of content and polish you may aswell forget it.
Whats the point of having a expansion to bring everyone back if they all gona sod off again within 2 months when they done it all again.
Feel ya pain but this Genre is currently messed up.
Since EA pumped in developemental money (which i suspect they did not get back), they certainly don't look like they are about to pour any more money into it. Which is a shame as it is a solid game, and any expansion would definatly pay for itself (as well as the increased re-subscription).
DAoC managed several yearly releases that added many years of play to the game; and obviously WAR had the same plan. But someone in EA is probably taking the stand that no more good money into game that has not lived up to its promise. Which show a limited understanding of MMO audiences who are definately more content, more classes, or they don't re-sub. After all, after a year I have played all the classes as far as I care too, unlike DAoC where even after four years I had only really played two of the three realms.
EA has a huge project under way in SWToR. I seriously doubt that there will be any expansion for WAR until that project comes out. On the other hand, I hope that Bioware uses some of Mythic's experience with PvP to make SWToR a good PVP game.

My Thoughts on Content Locust
