LFG where a newb isn't at a huge disadvantage

Most games out there seem to be designed to get you to buy cash shop items if its F2P or keep you always playing so you don't fall behind if it is P2P.

I don't want to play a game where majority of the players are at a point in the game where it would take months to catch up to them If I can download it tonight and easily find a group to party with and play then maybe later do some PvP I would love to do that without never being able to PvP because I have to grind for weeks before I am high leveled.

I play both of those games and it is sad to hear that they are the only ones who don't seem to be money hungry =( Atleast they are fun.

the only thing I can think of is Guild wars. You can either pop into a top level character and pvp or earn your way up to lvl 20 which doesn't take that long and of course allows you to get skills along the way.

if you go the pvp character then I'm unsure how you get some of the more rare skills.

    LOL same.

Both games have a big grind that far exceed 24hrs.

You can watch other people do that on your first day though . ..

Darkfall is my favorite game but it is so hard that it can take months to learn how . .. however long it takes to fully customize your controls with macros or a gaming keyboard LOL

You would be more competitive on your first day in Global Agenda if you are a good-player but there is a grind so you wont do that good.

Oops I forgot to mention Guildwars . .. you can create a toon who is just as powerful as the endgame toon by chosing a PVP character but are limited to only PVP. VERY FUN GAME btw . ..

As a player if you have the will to play the game.. you will give all your effort to really know the game...

Guild wars is the only one.

EVE you can start off doing some support(disabling, tackling, and maybe healing) roles in pvp. It mostly base on how many people you have vs them. Most guilds wont invite  you till you buy the game though.

Oh, the new game APB coming out next week. You start at a disadvantage but when fighting higher level players you get more members on your side. It an FPS with most of its content on the social side for now.

APB your best choice for PvP if you like FPS with very fast intro to PVP. If not try out EVE for more relax and uh lol.  I'm just reminded on how much camping or running about I did just to find a fight in EVE.

Also WARhammer has a unlimited 10 trial with instanced arena style BGS.

Agree with others about Guild Wars. You can either make a PvP or PvE toon but both can PvP, just how you want to level that is different. PvE is more normal storyline based and you unlock skills by missions and buying them. I usually recommend people start on the PvE just until you feel comfortable with your strengths and weaknesses. While you can get max level and gearquickly, and get the most essential skills, there are a huge number of combinations of skills. Then there is YOUR skill. See PvX wiki for a sense of this.
