This game sorta looks like all those fps/shooter type games on consols, how is it? Someone who dislikes fps...should i stray away from this game?

It's kind of like that, but with an MMORPG element to it. Try the trial for free. I'm doing the trial right now and trying to decide.
I bought it on friday and i didn't have much time to play , i'm only level 13 now, so i'm yet to experience the game has to offer.
But i can tell you that it's definitely not "Just" a fps. The combat element of the game is a 3rd person shooter with 4 classes, all 4 of those classes can be built differently. The game has both pve and pvp. You level up, upgrade your character, get new gea ect ect.
So far the best way to describe it for me would be guild wars meets team fortress 2 in a future setting. For me i got hooked when i tried pvp, it's insanely fun. I got burned out of mmo's a long time ago, the typical click and wait for the mob/other player to die is what killed it for me. But this is completely different, it controls like a 3rd person action game, you can shoot, melee and skill is involved, no bullcrap dice rolls.
Give the demo a try, thats what i did and i ended up buying it.
It's not very twitchy like an FPS as it's third person and there's no headshots or anything like that. More team and strategy oriented.

Try the trial. You dont lose anything, except maybe time if you dont like it

Yeah. Try out the demo. You can get up to 15 and play as much as you want.
At level 10 you can start the pvp. So basically, you do pve for 5 levels.
There are no hitboxes, so a headshot does as much damage as getting hit on the finger.

You can get the trial on steam. Dowload the steam client at www.steampowered.com
The truth is out there SOMEWHERE ?
All i could find on steam (which i have) is the retail (discounted) version-no trial
I may have to break down and buy it. :P
Sooo, i am seriously considering buying this.. i see it is wasd movement, can that be changed to mouse movement at all/ i know i know, don't slam me for that, i am just curious.
Trial has been suspended while they upgrade their servers to cope with the influx of new people.
You use both wasd and the mouse to move and aim.
ya i finally discovered the whle suspended trial, but the wasd movement may kill it for me, sadly i am not so good at that...wow and other mmos have made me lazy i guess LMAO
Its pretty easy to get the hang of. They've just put the new open zones on the test server and i'd suggest waiting till they start the trial up again and have a go.
