So there I was, playing DDO, minding my own business, trying to conduct business, so it all goes a little something like this:
/trade Want to buy transportation to The Hole. (I'm a level 6 Wizard, and I've only been to that place once, and it was cool. )
First Douche response: Huh huh, uuhhh, why don't you, uhhh just do, uuh, what everybody else does to go there, huhh huhh.
Me: Well, what is that?
No response.
Turd Sandwhich in Question (TSiQ): You go over to some statue in the marketplace and type /death or die or go fucking die noob or whatever he really mean by suggesting I kill myself.
I did not reply to this, though by now I was a little irritated. So I decided just to go over to house P and get the level 3 spells I wanted.
Then, THEN the TSiQ says this: So did you try that?
So now, obviously, I've been pissed off. So I go into PRIVATE chat, and say the following: How stupid do you think I am? F**k you.
TSiQ: Welcome to your banning.
Me: Yeah whatever, or something like that.
BAM! Banned for 15 days. The issue is not whether you think it was fair or not, the issue is be warned, lol. There are people out there actively trying to goad hotheads like me into banning. They've got me on the use of the word f**k, but what the hell, I'm fighting against it anyway, lol.
Also, you can be banned for using swear words in any kind of chat situation, even if you do have a filter. I also know this from experience. Filter is useless. If you cuss in open or any chat, there exists the possibility of some Turd Sandwhich or Giant Douche lurking to instantly open up a ticket and cry like a little bitch and have you banned.
You have been warned.
P.S. To the douche employees that ban outright because its policy, f**k you and f**k your policy. Thank you very much.
Comments
I thought there was supposed to be a chat filter on this profanity? Oops. I'll go back and edit myself.

This site isn't much better, i got a mmorpg.com ban for shortening a word once because some americans might think its racist.
Here "un fuck" properly spelled "un phoque" is "a seal" (the animal), so I try as much as possible to stay away from racist games, WoW being another example as when typing in french we used to call water form the "fuck form" and one day a GM was spying our guild chat and disbanded the guild for a few "comments" like those even though he had no clue what was being said.
Not that I was looking into D&D but i completely understand your frustration, however I can guarantee that after seeing that, nothing will get me to download it. Some GMs are just ban happy and think themselves to be powerful and strong when banning people. The best thing to do in those cases, especially with WoW-(clones) is to discourage as many people you can from playing such games. IE: in wow, only 3/11 that I know remain with it because of the GM bs (and very bad updates too) since the last 14 months.
Do the math:
8x15$/month = 120$/month less for hiring some racist idiot. Obviously for a game like WoW, they probably say something like "pfft, we count our revenu in thousands". However for smaller games such as D&D, AoC, FFXI, losing money that could have been gained by not hiring complete idiots isn't shrugged off so easily.
Now, it is certain you are not the only one doing that. All in all, MMOs lose a lot of revenu for playing language police and chat moderators when a simple 1 week general chatban would solve most problems, along with telling goaders to use the ignore function which I am sure exists.
For the record, it takes a lot to get banned in Champions Online. Swearing in zone chat will get you nothing, hateful comments will lead to warnings. Getting banned requires doing things like posting links to pornography, or threatening real violence.
Edit: so for example, one guy has a character named "Bestiality Boy", ahahaha!
That sucks. I mean it's totally fair that banned you but they should/hopefully did ban the other guy after all he was swearing and stuff too.. if that's actually how it went down.
I"ve spent alot of money on DDO since it became Unlimited, lol. My guild is protesting by opening tickets, though I have little hope, it will at least create a minor stir.
So you were spied on in your own Guild Chat? If anybody got me banned in my guild I'm an officer, and I would come back and kick them to the curb, lol. But that won't happen. If anybody was offended by cursing, I would stop. This toad was waiting to get somebody. Welcome to your ban. In real life, if I could find all these moderator/whiner/snitches I would kick their asses. Oh yes I would. I'm not just talking shit. I want to beat them so bad, with my fists! lol Head butts and kicks also applicable.
Most moderators are tools, but crybabies or Ubertrolls are even worse. In the real world I could say f**k as many times as I want, and would I get banned for it? lol Maybe from a store or a house or whatever, so nevermind. But not in the streets! F**k! lol

He didn't swear. He was just being a dick and I let my anger get the best of me. As I said, a cautionary tale.

That was one of the reasons I quit....
The OP is starting to remind me of: http://www.break.com/index/wow-gangsta-threatens-ex-guildies.html
Steam: Neph
Please. Funny, but please.

Gotta disagree with you there. Granted I came into this thread with my flamethrower lit and primed, but I'd be a d@mned liar if I said I'd never done what the OP did.
BTW, Pong ruled!
You may have chance to report him "harassment" but you need level 1 anger management.
If we fail to change the things of today, they will become the lucid nighmares of tommorrow.
I don't think you have much experiance with "the real world". If you had you'd know that walking around in public repeatedly yelling the f-word will eventualy get you locked up in an insane asylum. I'm not sure if you're one of "those" types of people, but you should try exhibiting some of that common sense your parents taught you.
