What do you want to do the most when you first enter Eorzea?
When I first played FFXI I ran around Bastok and it just seemed sooo awesome. I am excited about exploring the new cities in Eorzea.

Me I'll probably jump right into doing guildleves and working on getting my action skills up. However if I find the crafting system really enjoyable I may end up grinding up my skills there for some quick profitability.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh yea, Well I will jump into the first Body of water I can find and start kicking Micheal Phelps' ass!

Pretty much similar thoughts.
I'll Jump right onto the first PvP fight I see, and engage myself in the twitch based combat.
Will be checking out each of the races and/or racial areas for a week or so.
I'm assuming when I first enter the game I'm going to be BLOWN AWAY by how good it looks. Several minutes later I plan on killing rabbits, worms, or other small critters to start leveling up. All the while explaining to my family that those aren't the signs of a homicidal mind when the animals are in a virtual world.
First thing I'm going to do is meet up with my friends.
Then I'm going to re-create my character a bunch of times until I settle on a race/look I like.
first thing i will do is get close to the AH and spam teleport prices
lol just joking
I will probably look all around teh starting area to get familiar with it.
I think the fast-travel system will have killed that side job...lol oh the nostalgia

I have many things to try when I first log on. Character creation, settling in to the starting area.
I really, really hope the first thing is not trying to figure out how to map Forward, Backward, Strafe Left/Right to logical places. Like I dunno Up arrow, Down arrow, Left arrow, Right arrow or WASD.
At least I know jump will be on the spacebar... in Guild Wars 2.
I will play with menu options, char creation, and controls before setting off to explore everything I can. I will take a guild leve and use it to explore some more. I hope that the world is full of mystery and adventure like XI. I think I spent a week just exploring from level 1-10 in XI.
Well.. I'm starting with a bunch of people, so first order of business, get the Linkshell up and going.. Second order of business... not sure.. But it will probably involve Guildlevee's, killing stuff, and death.
EDIT: Oh forgot about the AutoTranslator... So while we are getting the Linkshell up and going, prior to starting our adventures.. I will be spending plenty of time having fun with the AutoTranslate functoin

I actually haven't even thought about it yet... I'll probably just explore whilst trying to track down former friends from FFXI.
prolly f-around w/ the creator til i find a char i like enuff to spend the next eternity with. then ill pull my hair out as i walk around at the starting zone and see everyone with the same first name as me. look thru the AH and remember how frustrating starting w/ nothing will be... cry a little... then get to work on becoming supreme ruler of all of Eorzea.
