A Dell could have anything really since they are customized desktops. Ask your friend what type of card he purchased. Also, check on the box of the game and it will list the requirements to play.

Shugoo, not to be rude but ignorant people like you have no business playing pc games. You know the reason why they made consoles?? So people like you who cant take a few minutes to read up on computer parts can just pick up and play. You say your friend has a dell but yet you dont care to mention how much ram/ proc speed/ vid card he/she has and you expect us to give you a yes or no answer image.

Best thing to do is to run the dxdiag

Click start then click Run. Type dxdiag and click okay

This will provide you with the system specs for the computer.

Compare with the CoH min requirments

You can find the system requirements for City of Heroes at: http://www.plaync.com/games/coh.html

    Minimum System Specifications

    • Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP
    • Intel Pentium® III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz
    • 256 MB RAM
    • 4X CD-ROM Drive
    • 2 GB Available HDD Space
    • GeForce 2 Series, ATI Radeon 8500 Series or Intel® 82845G Graphics Controller and above

    Video Card
    • DirectX 9.0
    • 16-bit Sound Card
    • 56k modem
    • Keyboard and mouse

    Recommended System Requirements

    • Windows® 2000/XP
    • Intel Pentium® 4 1.7 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1700+
    • 512 MB RAM • 16X CD-ROM Drive
    • 2 GB Available HDD Space
    • GeForce 5600 or ATI Radeon 9600 Series

    Video Card
    • 16-bit Sound Card
    • Broadband Internet Connection
    • Keyboard and mouse with wheel

I would actually recommend going for the recommend. Almost all games played on min requirments degrades your enjoyment experiance.

your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't

it depends on what kind of dell, but my experience with this game and dells so far is that it doesnt work with them. i had to install it on my lap top in order to get it to work and my friends doesnt work on her dell for anything except logging on and getting her connection lost.

If it's a relatively new PC, then it will probably have enough ram (at least 512) and a decent enough card to run CoH acceptably.

I would check the card, though. If it's an Intel integrated graphics controller or something like that, then your friend would need to definitely get a better card.

WOW, nutn like flamin the kid fa not knowin sumthin uh, dont be so ignorant next time, the kid asked a question tryin to get help and you flame him,. yea we all know from his questions that he is obviously not a comp buff, so why go out of your way just to make him feel dumb for askin a question that he prob new he was gonna get flamed for anyways but he needed help, or he just wanted to be a part of the community. either way people like you give us abad name, every1 has to start somewhere, and he is starting here, so why not be helpful and welcome new gamers, which is only gonna make it better for us not only in game, but thru more devs makin more games due to more people playing.

i cant stand people like you, thinkin their better than someone cuz they play more.
