Hello, awhile back (a year or so ago) I went online trying to find an anime or western themed MMORPG to play. I'm not a huge anime fan, I just like Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist but I found the visuals and the special abilities those sort of characters have to be fascinating, sort of reminded me of my old Street Fighter 2 arcade days. I had no luck finding any games of this type.
I am also looking to find a western themed game. I am a huge fan of Stephen King's Dark Tower series as well as a fan of Sergio Leone type westerns. It could have a mixture of themes, doesn't matter. I just want to be a cowboy and shoot stuff heheheh.
Either game can be pay-to-play or even up-coming and not released yet. Or if you have suggestions on games you think I may like based on what I have posted here fire away(not literally though )
Well, drat I managed to post this in the wrong place. Sprry, folks. I meant to post this in the LFGame forum. Blame it on bad eye sight.

Are you looking for an anime game that's about those specific anime shows? Cause you can't be serious if you didn't find any anime style games at all... over half of them are, and like 90% of ftp ones are...
Have you tried Perfect World?
Closest thing to a real anime-like game is Dungeon Fighter Online, and the closest thing to a real western setting is Fallen Earth. I have yet to see anything nail either spot on.
Also, regardless of whether a real anime game comes out with a popular IP attached or not, if it does, it's *going to be* F2P. That's just how it be.

Mabinogi. It has an amazing story line(no -.- not the Romeo & Juliet crap.....start with G1, which is where the story begins....even though it lets you start with any chapter. Use this website to find where to start G(generation)1: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/ ) and twitchy combat. Fighting raccoons and foxes won't be fun at level one, and Alby Dungeon is for the newbies who are still learning, but it becomes *very* challenging before long and all mainstream quests' boss fights can be compared to a console game's boss fights. It's a lot more exiting than those people make it look >.<
I couldn't find any videos that didn't have people exploiting things like hiding behind those campfires in *both* examples :X
