Need a game with some good Bounty Hunting
Ive been kinda at a loss lately in the MMO world and while waiting for TOR to be released or I get into beta I need something to at least garner my attention a little. I was trying to play Eve with my friends but alas they dont even play enough to keep me there and wanting to for over money each month >.<
So I come to you to find a game to play! I am looking for a game that has a Bounty Hunting system that is implemented through the game... not really through player interactions, such as: Players posting on forums or what not about killing such and such and then they will pay you.... I want more on the lines of how BH systems is in SWG. I am probably going to go back to SWG as a last resort, but they game just more or less has been pissing me off more and more when I go and try to play since PvP can be really broken and lopsided in that game just because of different factors.
If anyone has any ideas of something I could at least look into let me know

Can't say I have come across any MMOs that have a bounty hunting system similar to SWG. Real shame they broke SWG as much as they did I used to love it. Have you tried looking for another group to play EVE with? I haven't played it myself but I gather there is a lot of freedom in the game to do what you want to do so would probably support bounty hunting better than most other games on the market.
I only picked up EvE to play with my friends.... as they do have a "Bounty Hunting" system of sorts it really isnt anything you can actually do. Also EvE really isnt Solo friendly in the PvP realm and quite frankly when I BH or PvP for that matter I rather do it solo unless its for a real purpose and the whole EvE warfare is cool I guess in a concept to me... I just am not the biggest fan of the whole game mechanics in the first place :x Also Its BH system is more or less broken with how it works and most of the people who actually get bounties on them will still just have a second account or a friend kill them and they get the money anyway... but I guess that kinda goes with all games too >.> If only there was Perma-Death! *cough* Never will see that again in a game tho for many different reasons!

My Pikeman/DE/Scout became a Smuggler when NGE hit. And I must say the BH/Smuggler dynamic was the best thing NGE did. Ive had some epic 1v1 pvp battles. Few months ago i had a bh pick up a bounty on me. saw him coming, shot first, speederbike chase halfway across dantooine. tried to shake him by planet hopping. more speeder bike chases. got into a half dozen or so scuffles, he clearly outgeared me and was fully buffed. Finally, i hopped into space in my belbullab and when he followed me out there i lit him up.
afterward we talked for a while. both agreeing that was indeed one of the better online gaming moments either of us had in a long time.
yeah, swg may be old and broken, but some of the intangibles that game has to offer... still no mmorpg has come close to it.
Yeah... thats pretty much why I have gone back to it over and over the past what 7 years since some beta... I was just hoping to find something new :<

SWG does have good bounty hunting , IF you go to the right server.... Flurry or starsider would be your best bet. Maybe that farstar euro server. I know my experience when I last logged into eclipse before I unbsubbed would wind up , me waiting around all day on terms or chasing after the same spy who was the only bounty on the terms all day. GO to flurry or ss for bhing to be honest.

Yeah my home was Bria for a very long time but if I was to go back it would be SS.... I leveled a BH to 90 the last time I was subbed because thats where most people have gone to so I would just have to bring my char from Bria over since thats where all my stuff actually is. Kinda hard to throw 30 bucks up for it tho :< Plus a char that has all the buffs from being old school makes a better BH than one who has nothing at all >.<
SWG has the best ever. Still awesome. I am TRYING HARD not to go back - lol - again....for the 5th time
The BH system in SWG is borked since the NGE. Not being funny but no one gives a toss about having a bounty on them, half of them just stand there and let you kill them whilst making a comment in spatial about lolcats or something.
EVE's bounty system is more significant as it can acutally take effort to collect, but as has been mentioned alt accounts will reap bounties more often then not and you are not going to be able to take major bounties solo anyway .
Tbh is sounds like you have already made your mind up anyway to go back to SWG, I can't for the life of me see why but good luck with it

Runescape has a bounty hunting system I believe.
Have you considered Fallen Earth , I think it has bounty hunting or something similar .
