Yes I will be playing. There is nothing else new thats worth playing at the moment.

And not playing because of XP being slowed down is a riduculous reason - why do you want to rush through levelling? If the levelling was very quick as alot are suggesting - you would get to level cap and then start moaning there is no end game content......The stuff between 1 and cap is not just a hurdle to jump over - its there to play!!

Maybe people are getting too used to games where everything is handed too you without any time and effort.

But everyone likes different things, me I like a challenge and like feeling the accomplishment. Other like taking candy from babies...

No. I appreciate Square giving me the opportunity but I will not be purchasing this title.

I voted yes even though I'm not buying in the near future. I wouldn't make a snap decision on not buying it because of a certain feature.

The one big happy family forums are for fan site forums, not here.

This OPEN web site is for positive and negative comets.  I see nothing wrong with people making a discussion to not buy a game to continue posting.  After all their are many that are making their decisions BECAUSE of the negative comments made here.

I've made my decision to not buy.........And that is because of  reading facts here.  Yes it's in Bata but in using past experience of using this web site, I've found that mmo's are never fixed within 30 days of release.

I did not like FF11 for the fact of controls, and UI.   I removed it from my computer after two frustrating days of playing around with it.  HOWEVER and I stress this word because FF11 had a deep rich following of players and content. I was thinking that FF14 would fix the problems ff11 had after all it's 2010.  But I guess not.

Definitely will be.  I have said multiple times that this isn't going to effect 90% of the playerbase, and for those it does effect we have no idea how it will all play out.  The game just isn't made to be beneficial for someone to solo grind one class 20 hours a day.  Leves are on cooldown, fatigue, etc.  That may turn some players off, but down the line when we see how it all plays out who knows what will happen.

Well sure i will still be buying it and if only to be able to form my own opinion about the game i never was a fan of letting other ppls make up my mind for me and the way i see it we dont know nothing yet what we got explained was the Fatigue system(well we got translations from ppls not connected to SE so who knows if its reliable after all) i am still waiting for a explanation regarding the Surplus system and the saved EXP.

Honestly i think all this garbage ppls made up over the last days will only be good for the in game Community in the end. Sure a lot of ppls will not preorder now or maybe not play at all but honestly what kind of ppls r that...

I will play and make up my mind on my own and if its really bad well hell ill just stop playing but at least i did so course of own experience and not only be course i listened to some retards making up lies.

I want to, very much. Having said that, I look over at my bookshelf and see about 8 game boxes of which most carried a price tag of 50+ dollars of games I bought but should have investigated, read forums and taken advice of the people who have actually played the game because over half are real stinkers.  I never went by the typical "review" , had to see for myself.

Well, money is not as it was a year ago and I certainly don't have room on my bookshelf for another stinker so I am going to wait and read and investigate after the big release and the NA crowd has had time to digest it.

    Absolutely.

I probably won't. But i'll give the game a chance in open beta. If the surplus don't interfere with my game time and "hardcoreness",i'll buy it

    =p

I Alpha tested and Beta tested.. To be honest I could never get past their idea of what controls and UI should look and behave like. Without the ability to customize the hotkeys at the very least its a no brainer for me.. I cant imagine a game now a days coming out with at least a basic ability to customize for a players preference.

Its a beautiful game and I hope their fans get what they want..But it has to be about more than looks for me at this point.. I have more than a couple accounts for some really "Pretty" games.. hehe

My shelf is similar.  I have bought and played just about every MMO to come out.  I did it without even thinking about it because to this date there hasn't been one mainstream MMO that I didn't get well over the box cost worth of fun gametime out of it.  Even if it wasn't a great MMO and I didn't continue sub after the first month I got more gametime out of these titles than any other single player game and most other games in general.

I do love the chaos of MMO launches though.  Regardless of if I like a game or not after the fact I always have fun and get my 50$ worth.

Yup and they're normally wrong just like they were with Aion, Warhammer and Age of Conan...oh wait...

It seems to be bothering you that people disagree with you.  I still play AoC and enjoy it so, yes, imo they were wrong.

Right, because it was a WONDERFUL game at launch.

All three of those games launched with major issues, they've all made strides to correct them and are all halfway respectable now, but the doom threads still were mostly correct when it came to launch.

Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.

I've already cancelled my CE. I'm going to participate in the open beta and see what, if any, changes and optimizations they've made. If they haven't improved the UI and made the game much easier to run, I don't intend to place another order.

  • CernanCernan Member UncommonPosts: 360

I voted yes.  I'm only so-so excited about it.  Something new to play.  However, one of my good friends is super excited.  I enjoy games more when I'm playing them with RL friends.  Rifts, GW2, or Tera all look a little more exciting to me.  That won't stop me from playing though.

I dont like being forced to play a certain way. This is what is being done with the xp limit system. It makes me feel that the dev have too much control over my character and this is really enough for me to look elsewhere for my mmo fix.

I quite liked the look of the game when I first saw screenshots from it, and some aspects of the gameplay sounded interesting so at that stage I was enthusiastically looking forward to it, but the more recent disclosures have certainly led me to conclude that it simply isn't for me.

  • Professor78Professor78 Member UncommonPosts: 611

I am hearing so much about people saying that won't play from what they have read.

Let me tell you all, the best review a game will ever get ----- is by yourself.

You can not have any valid negative (or possitive) about a game you have not had first hand experience in!!!

People that have tested, I respect there opinions, they have PLAYED it! Anyone who has not and is giving reviews are plain morons who don't think for themselves!!!

We get this with every single game..wake up!

I‘m a sucker for JRPG  in general and I particularly like Final Fantasy games. But this fatigue system is   major turn off for me. So I will not buy the game unless Square removes this stupid system.

from what i noticed about any MMO is they all force u to play one way or another theirs always whiners  or people who love to play the game, best way to make a choice is to play it first hand and stop letting people decide for you if u dont like then watever , only thing i can say is less competition in the game :D plus the fatigue system aint so bad i think they encourage people (lowlives) that have nothing better to do then play for 10hours straight to go outside and get fresh air :P i remember when this one dumb kid played FFXI and they were fighting absolute virtue and the idiot fainted from lack of sleep lol idk i dont see this as too bad

Yep, the game is still something I plan to invest time in to.
