Windows 7 64bit installer bug

J_CroCJ_CroC Member UncommonPosts: 47

Hi.

Is there any workaround to install FFXIV on another drive then C: with the stupid coded

installer?

It will only give you option to install on C: on Windows 7 64bit.

The problem probably has to do with Windows 7, because I run Vista 64bit and was able to install the game on a different HD.

I don't have Windows 7 nor do I have 64 bit system .. but I think 7 has partitions and only has Windows 7 and it's files on one partition and everything else on another (is that how yours it set up?). I have read on these forums and others of a "not enough disk space" error.  Maybe a little more info is needed on what error message you are getting for help.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit and mine is installed in D:

Dunno what to tell you.   Is C: where your current windows installation files are?  And why can't you just install it on C:? Is it full?  Try transferring some files over to D: or whatnot.  Without fully understanding the problem, I can't really offer much advice.

    Aha! solved it.

IT used 12gb on C: for temp files. really stupid of them not to use the desination drive also for temp drive.

    Anyway problem solved.
