Hard to make any suggestions without specifics.
Yeah... forgot to mention that my bad.
I was talking about F2P only.
DDO or Atlantica are my favorites.
Try Guild Wars, no monthly fee, item shop is really very optional, and you can get all expansions really cheap. look at the game list ratings, highly rated and nicely done game.
Guild Wars isnt a MMO.
I suggest playing Runes of Magic, or Allod if you need a F2P mmo. also check out Everquest 2 and LoTRO if you can run them.
Philosophy of MMO Game Design
Maybe this one: http://global.netmarble.com/uwo/
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
In my opinion either Allods, EQ 2 extended or LOTRO f2p coming real soon.
Thanks everyone ill try those
Personally I can't go anywhere near F2P games, they just seem so... Lacking. Not their fault, of course, but I just can't bring myself to play them seriously.
I will say that right now I'm getting into SC2... Not an MMO by far, but after playing WoW for years I realized I wanted something skill based with plenty of PvP... Sooooo, instead of leveling up, I decided to gather vespene. I must say it's quite refreshing.
Just something for you to ponder, OP.
Runes of Magic is a great F2P MMO.
Just like DDO isn't a MMO.
To the poster who posted Guild Wars is not an MMO. Please define MMO as you know it. Is this not the MMORPG website?
If i am wrong, have the website remove all games defined as MMO on the MMORPG listings. If i am right and Guild Wars by defination is an MMO, why would you bother to say it is not. If i am ignorant of any fact, educate me. Just don't make a comment that sounded spitefully rude. I was trying to help the original poster. What was your intent?
On Sept 10 Lotro goes FTP 1 char per server. I like Lotro and DDO.
One more thing. Definition of MMO as i know it is Massive, Multi-player ,Online.
