Because the first 5 are mostly anti christian opinion rants and not actually discussing the game.

Looks like a RTS browser based game that is supposed to based on the time period of the Old Testament - Abraham. Looks like you build your civilization and can war others. Not sure what else it does. At least you don't have an ad of a big boobed woman calling you My Lord..

     Really?

Make a thread that has Republican/Democrat/Politics in the title and see how long that gets and be shocked there too.

Religion and politics are topics that will always cause responses, not matter what random place it shows up like on an MMO forum.

Yes, it is so poorly written that over 100 million copies are sold every year...  /sarcasm

By that logic, the music that the Spice Girls created is superior to what, let's say Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin or Frank Zappa made, the movies starring the characters from South Park superior to what Kim Ki Duk or Lars Von Trier make, and McDonnalds should receive 5 Michellin stars, right?

Er you're just comparing one form of pop music for another in your first example (yeah, I've got friends who would have scorned your rock artist choices as being pop  artist sellouts), in your 2nd example all I can say is Kim and Lars who? and in the last example, I really do love M&M McFlurries, don't you?

I may have gone off track here, but then again, so has this entire thread.

My point was that the Bible selling so many million copies has got nothing to do with it beeing an actually properly written book or not.

Music lovers are more likely to be into Pink Floyd than into the Spice Girls

Cinema lovers are more likely to be into Kim Ki Duk than into Trey Parker.

Food lovers (that can afford it) are more likely to check a restaurant with Michellin stars than the McDonnalds round the corner.

And literature experts are more likely to have Goethe and Shakespeare in their collection than the Bible.

The names provided are just examples. To be honest I am not personally a Pink Floyd fan and I did have a good laugh with last South Park movie, but I guess you get my point.

Oh dear... That's all I have to say.

Religious extremism, and MMO addiction. Combine the two and just imagine what you could create.

I have never met anyone even vaguely associated with literature or publishing who didn't have a copy of the Bible in their collection. That includes jews, hindus, buddhists, many athiests/agnostics, and at least one muslim.

Regardless of your opinion of the content or writting, there is no escaping that the Bible is an iconic, historically significant, and very influential book. If you claim to be an expert on literature or have even a passing interest in publishing you would have read or have an interest in the Bible for reasons other than its religious significance or the subjective quality and interpretation of its words.

My personal theology isn't so presumptious as to answer the question of whether or not a god exists, however I deeply dispise the "rational" arguments against such articles of faith. What you have convinced yourself is a logical argument is nothing but a rationalization of your own dogma. If you can't conclusively prove or disprove your hypothesis using the scientific method then it is just as abritrary as anyone else's beleifs.

More to the point. I fail to see how this is an MMO. I see that is has RTS and RPG elements, but I don't see any MMO elements. Why is everybody focusing on the WRONG issues here? Whether or not you are a fan of the IP is irrelevent. If this is not actually an MMO, I don't believe it deserved to be covered on MMOrpg.com

No. Humans are profiteers. God said "give away all that you have, and follow me" (paraphrased) It's those who USE God (aka 'religion') for their own profit that give Christians a bad reputation. Not everyone that calls themself a "Christian" truly is one. God also said you will know them by their deeds. If they are profiteers, they are not following God, but Mammon.

If its old testament, like what jews believe than you might be able to do those things. If its Christianity, than none of those things are allowed.

Assumptions? I've read the book. As a work of fiction it's MEH at best. For someone to take it literal(LOL grow up), I have to conclude that person is either mentally ill or simply evil to the core. It's a vile, abhorrent book. Anyone who says otherwise clearly has not read it.

I think the Catholic Church will sue the developers for more money to use for more golden weave pillows.

Here is a passage that could lead to a stealth unit:

    Exodus 2:11-12

And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

Ignorance...It sound like if you actually did read it, that you misinterpreted it. "evil to the core"? are you serious? Christianity teaches love and compassion, forgiveness, mercy, and pretty much everything that goes with that. Christianity is based on the idea that, long story short, we're to follow Jesus and his teaching. He never taught violence or hate, he ate with the wicked, not the so called "righteous" people (the priests).

It's obvious to me that no matter what you claim, you really know nothing about what Christianity is all about. Yes it's true that the bible has rated R material...does it mean that it's teaching us to go out and murder people? NO...Like I've already said, it teaches against that stuff, and many of those "R rated" stories in the bible are about people who messed up, and the consequences etc.

Make sure you actually know what your arguing against before you make claims against it.

Maybe some kind of summoning spell you could drop on an opponents town?

    Numbers 21:6

And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

    Possible "Strength of Unicorn" buff.

    Numbers 24:8

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
