I downloaded this game because it looks really good but when I try to log in it says something like "your account has been cancelled".

Why is this? Have you the same problem and got around it?

I'm thinking it may have something to do with where I live, I'm in the UK btw!

I might of not read something when signing up but I'm not sure....

Yes, you'll have to play Global Aika (by T3) rather than NA-Aika (by GPotato).  The warning message on NA-Aika was very prominant on the download page about the restrictuion.

Thanks a lot, I'm sure this will solve the problem :)

    Consider you're self lucky >.>

Only reason im not playin this game is cuz im stuck with gPatatoe version which i hear is less active and has tons of bots/gold spamming issues.. As where Global has devs and mods on 24/7 to combat that and possibley enough players to pull off the 1000vrs1000 RvR battles that Aikia boasts..

Man this is the first game i've heard of where an IP ban on other nations has been imposed.. and from what i can gather the game is suffering because of it.

I was wondering why I had seen 2 copies of separate nations for this game. I've actually been playing the gpotato one, will have to try the other one. Are they fairly similar overall?

You cannot play both versions (unless you use some kind of proxy changing your IP to different area or you are outside of NA, but started playing on gPotato Aika before IP blocks). Aika versions are divided by countries: gPotato (USA, Canada only), global (all countries except those with own versions of Aika (there are or will be also local Aika versions in Brasil, Russia, Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand). Game is the same (only with different names and level limits).

I played both versions (started on gPotato before IP bans), so i see clear difference in GM support. On gPotato GMs were almost never available in game, but there was lots of bots and spammers around (every time i logged or changed channel, i had to add few names of spammers to chat-filter), on global versions i only saw spamming once (shut down very fast) and GMs are in game most of the time.

I'm not really interested in playing this game, it didn't grab me in the first few hours.

Unless someone can tell me something good that I didn't know about this game I might aswell delete it.

I suggest give it a few more hours or days. It's hard to judge a game from just a few hours of game play. Aika Global will start to become exciting as you progress. Like the dungeons where you will need to party with other people (which is not very much a problem since there will be people who will help you). Later on, the game will be even more exciting since you'll be helping your nation during castle sieges, raids, or when defending your nation's relics.

For me, Aika Global is a good F2P MMORPG.

    Played: Runescape, Adventure Quest
Currently playing: Aika Global, Atlantica Online
Waiting for: Cardmon Hero, Dynasty Warriors Online

F2P like P2P = Generic MMO. Always has been, always will be.

When did you start playing "old school" MMO's. World Of Warcraft?

    @FrankyDragon
Im currently playing the game now, got a lvl 45 mage, so far so good but i will tell you this, the PVE is Hooooorible, its a game with the worst pve EVER. If you dont mind people(CS users) one-hitting you and the crazy grind Kill 50 of x or 90 of y(its true) , then Uninstall the game LOL! To have fun, you need friends and guild otherwise its a 90% quit case.. , as for me i had a 2 friends whom i known for 2 years playin it(else i'll quit by lvl 20 :D)  and this game has weird system of mobs not dropping gold, you need to save up gold from quest.. I hope my review will give you an idea bout the game.. I wont tell you the positives of the games cause its up for you to find it for yourself :D

Mobs don't drop gold, but drop gear items. Those can be sold to other players (if have good stats) or to NPC (good price for higher level items). So gold is not that much problem, unless you wasting lots of money.

As for PvE, maybe Aika is not worst in that aspect (is not pure grind, but quests, not limited to  'kill 10 rats and bring me their tails' type), but surely is far from best, even leveling is by quests, lots of them requires killing big number of monsters. Quests in instances are good breaks, but for those parties are required, so finding party for instance becomes very problematic (usual lack of tanks and healers), if you don't have good guild.

I'm not sure when this message was added, but I gave Aika a new try last month and could logon and play without any problems. Like OP, I'm from Europe (Netherlands).
