Looks fake to me.
Especially since the battl.net account HTML points to a different website.
You can tell by hovering your mouse over it and see that is goes to eu.something.webaddress.tk.
Also you should edit it and remove those links so some poor sap doesn't get phished.
The Stranger: It's what people know about themselves inside that makes 'em afraid.
Do they even send emails anymore? Check your account, it'll be unlocked for the beta if it's legitimate.
He who keeps his cool best wins.
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't realize links had been edited out.
I don't trust any e-mail from "Blizzard", no matter how "real" it looks. Too bad they let it get that bad, but that's how it is.

yep same, if this is a fake though its the best i have seen. the first one i thought could be real.
got the same mail and its legit..only way to know for sure is to go to battle.net click on manage games for wow and if u see cataclysm beta under the games list then thats it
^ This.
If you are accepted into the beta your account itself will show that you are.
As for the emails, friend of mine got a little over 90 of them in the span of an hour on Monday alone.
There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
yeah first thing i did was check my battle.net acct. was notthing there. the email said it could be 24 hours. so got my hopes up. same as the first guy said though there is a battle net.tk link in there. pretty sure its fake.
Why black parts of it out?
Anyway: "your should be flagged for beta access within roughly 24 hours upon receipt of this email." screams fake. Anything with improper grammar or incorrect spelling is fake. How do people not know this yet?
i took all the links out. to be safe.
Official mails will always mention your name, the name that you used to sign up. Fakes will always use an impersonal manner.
I got that email also. So I went to the website and put in bogus info and it gave me the download link for the client. And it never asked me for my authenticator code. But it was a very real looking website.
Exactly. Its all done in house now. All of these emails are just one of the many, many different ways that slime balls attempt to steal peoples accounts.
I got an email that looks similar to that I ignored it for ages, was in my battlenet acc 1 day and it was open for beta maybe just coincidence all the links look legit on mine and i have never had a single phising e-mail on my battlenet e-mail, give it a couple of days and check your battlenet maunually.
People, there is no fake link on an identical email I received. They are all legit, and there is no major grammar mistake.
I think it's legit. If I recall right, I received Wrath of the Lich King beta invite at the same time, saturday morning like today, and it really looked like this. Anyway, I will update this thread after 24 hours have passed, to see if they actually enabled my account on Battle.net.

These days its can be VERY difficult to spot fake links. Thats why Blizzard is handling this in house. Log in to the main site(no links...) and check your account directly. I'd not trust anything that comes in email at this point. One should default to better safe than sorry in these things.
If you get accepted to the Cat beta, forget the email.
DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN THE EMAIL!
Go to your Battle.net account and go to Manage Games. If you were accepted into Cat Beta, then the game will be on that page.
My wife is in Cat Beta.
