FSU is going to get their doors blown off. LOL!

So I was on some other boards (sports boards) and man oh man were the Miami Hurricane fans talking total smack on them. I mean they were getting downright nasty with what they had to say (yes I was smack talking back, it's a sports thing). So after the Ohio State win I went back to return the favor. Well, I haven't seen one post made by a Hurricane fan. It's so typical, like cockroaches when the lights come on, Hurricane fans scatter after a loss.

Oregon!! The dark horse to win the title! Once Darron Thomas gets more experience hes going to play like Dennis Dixon. It would be really cool to see a Rose Bowl rematch for the title. I think Oregon may take it in a close game. Their duel threat backs are beasts. Oregon is soo fast. Just imagine if Masoli wasn't stupid and got into trouble!

Big loss for Boise St. over the weekend. That win over Va. Tech isn't so great now is it? That loss probably hurts worse than Boise St. outright losing themselves. I can actually see BSU dropping a couple ranks Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, it's too bad for Boise St.  I really think Va Tech lost for no other reason than the emotional toll the Boise St game took on them.  But a loss is still a loss.  Will hurt Boise St in the BCS rankings.

I don't think any of it's going to matter though.  Here's a good article by Dan Wetzel on Tyrell Pryor.  Pryor's performance yesterday was inconsistent for sure, but even so, just by watching him, you can tell his potential is almost limitless.  As Wetzel says, if he gets his game together and starts to play well week in and week out, I don't think there's a team in the country that can stay with Ohio State.  And that includes Alabama.  I'm betting on Pryor reaching that potential.  I'd love to see both OSU and 'Bama go through the entire season undefeated and meet in the BCS Championship.  The Buckeyes have one monkey left to get off their back, and that's to beat an SEC team in a bowl game.

Well, BSU didn't drop in rank but they did lose some first place votes. The real shocker was South Carolina moving from 24 to 13 after an ugly win over Georgia. Although it was nice to see some teams drop in the polls even after a win. I like the polls being a little bit more fluid in this sense.

NCAA and High School Football are back.. You have to love fall sports..  It's a time to support your team (no free agency crap) win or lose.. It's a time that the most bizzare plays and penalities and calls will make a groan man cry or pull his hair out..  Pro ball is too capitalistic to my liking..

Well, one thing I learned from this weekend is that CFB doesn't review each and every play like they say they do.

    Here is the proof:

Marshall player drops football before endzone.

Notre Dame player drops football before endzone.

So who dropped the ball on these replays (besides the players)?

WoW Seabass.. TY for the links.. Both are those were bad calls and bad reviews.. No way they should of stood up, then you have calls like the Detroit one that you can tell the player caught the ball but they ruled it an incompletion..  I'm always said that much of these sports, especially the big money ones, are controlled by the refs and the people that own them, then the players themselves..  Reminds me of gymnatics or figure skating.. You have to have a rep or a name to get a fair chance..  It's why I like sports like golf so much.. You can be a nobody but if you have the tourney of your life, YOU win..

The OU defense can stick with Pryor, our secondary can stick with his WR and were getting better at holding down scrambling QBs. Right now I think OU, Bama, and OSU can go undefeated. OU has 2 really tough games in UT and most likely Nebraska for the big 12 champ. Bama has a game away game against LSU but with UNC missing 12 players almost pulling off the upset. Arkansas can be tough but they have played pansy teams. For OSU there big game is at Iowa and I think Iowa has even won that game when it really mattered and they are looking good this year so I think OSU has the biggest game to look out for as at least both of OU games are neutral sites.

So yeah OU goes 12-0 wins the big 12 champ and faces........Bama in the title game as Iowa pulls off the upset of their year.

As Lee Corso would say, "NOT SO FAST".. lol..  I'm a buckeye, however I'm not a blind OSU fan either..  Here is how I view things this year so far..  Alabama is #1 hands down..  They look strong on both sides of the ball and honestly I don't see anyone beating them, especially when they get Ingram back on the field..  Now for OSU.. Pryor doesnt' walk on water and it drives me nuts to hear fellow buckeye fans talk like he does.. He's strong and deceivingly fast, however I don't see him being a starter in the NFL anywhere, anytime soon..  He's not a good pocket passer in my opinion and with OSU going to Wisconsin and Iowa on the road, I wouldn't be surprised if they LOST both of those games..  Then you add in this new Michigan team this year.. If the first 2 weeks are a sign of things to come.. OSU will have their hands full at home..

Now for OU.. FSU was an over-rated contender, however their first challenge will come up against Cincy on the road..  Then turn around and take on Texas the next week, and still have to deal with the the rest of the south bracket will be a daunting task..  Only to end up playing a strong Nebraska team for the conf title.. I don't think OU will go undefeated, and it wouldn't surprise me if they end up 11-2, or 10-3 at bowl time.. Is that good enough for a BCS bid?   My prediction is that Bama will go 13-0, win the SEC, and play against Boise or TCU for the national title..   Those are the only 3 teams I think have a good chance of going undefeated.. Everyone else will lose atleast one game and slip out of contention..

Funny, I have Ohio St vs Boise St, and Im a Bama fan. I'd love to say bama will roll through the SEC ... and this early It would be easy to do so as much of the SEC seems to be playing below standard, especially Florida. But it is the SEC, the talent is there week in and week out. We are missing 9 starters on D, one of the best returners to ever play football and an AA kicker and damn good punter. Top all that will Alabama already going undefeated 2 straight regular seasons ... I just think someone is gonna catch us.

I hope not though, as far as Im concerned Boise doesnt belong in a National championship much less a BCS bowl game. I don't care how they have done against the 1 or 2 teams they face every season, I could care less they can't help the crappy schedule they have. IMO, they wouldnt get either or even be talked about for either in a real conference. Sorry Boise fans, but I'm not buying that you are a top 5 team. I don't even think you are a top 5 team in the SEC. I can realistically say, Bama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas and in most seasons SC, TENN, KY give a run for conference champ in the WAC.

Matter of fact they have 4 ranked wins in the last 5 years, most teams in the SEC play that in 1 season. Most of those wins come on trickery .. not really the true sign of a power house program. It is the true sign of an under dog though putting all there chips on the table and having it pay off.  Ah well, I suppose they can enjoy teh 11 bye weeks till bowl season. Should be nice and rested up by then.

They win their bowl games and keep going undefeated. And if the SEC is so good then why does almost every team rank so poorly in non-conference strength year in and year out. Yeah Bama had Penn State but thats about it. LSU has a good one this year but that seems it really. If Boise State is undefeated again without two teams from the major conferences(BIg 12, Pac 10, Big 10, SEC) then they get a title shot imo. Otherwise it will be just more whining until they get it. Right now after relooking at the bama and OSU schuedules I have thought about it some more and I don't see them going undefeated. I still OU can though and I would love a rematch this year at the place where the trick play won the game 4 years ago.

27-24 way to freaking close, and Air Force will be the only non OU team to get any kind of cheers in that stadium. Had 4 F-15s I think fly over during the National Anthem once they were over the crowd there was no other noise but their engines was epic. I think FSU was overrated and AF underrated they have had 3 pretty good seasons and it is just insane to see that run game in person.

Well Alabama goes down to South Carolina 35-21.  Big upset.  It wasn't really that close of a game.  Carolina outplayed the Crimson Tide from start to finish.  That puts Ohio State and most likely Oregon in the driver's seat.  But still a lot of football left to play.  The winner of the Nebraska - Oklahoma game might factor into the equation.  Also, Arizona and Auburn are surprisingly still undefeated, as is Michigan St.

I really didn't want Alabama to lose this early in the season.  I don't want Ohio State to occupy the #1 spot in the polls.  Seems there is more pressure on you when you are #1.  Maybe Oregon will jump ahead of OSU if they win impressively :).  The Buckeyes have also lost their two starting safeties for the season to injuries :(.  That's got me worried as their secondary becomes more susceptible to the pass.

On the Heisman race, Tyrell Pryor is back in the thick of it.  Ingram was shut down by the Carolina defense, and presumed front runner, Robinson played pretty poorly against Mich St.

I wonder if DeMarco Murray will ever enter Heisman talks. He is the current NFL front runner for RBs(as per nfl.com and espn) and is having a good season. Sucks that UT had to go and lose to UCLA and that OU had a bye week today. Had UT's lost only been to us and we had blown out a team today we could have jumped to #1 or at least 2. FSU big win over miami is gonna help us in the BCS poll that finally comes out tomorrow as the computers have to factor that in even if the AP refuses to acknowledge that OU could possibly do anything good,

I knew being ranked #1 was a bad omen.  The Buckeyes had all the momentum going into the 4th quarter and got within a field goal after letting Wisconsin get a huge lead, but the defense let them down.

With Alabama and Ohio State both losing, I think this really puts Boise State in the driver's seat.  They won't lose another game and should get one of the championship spots.  The other spot will be fought over by Oregon, TCU, Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU and even Michigan State.  Oregon and TCU have the easiest paths to get there.

This is exactly why I want a college playoff.  Because the system that's in place now essentially makes every regular season game a playoff game.  With a playoff system, teams like Alabama and Ohio State could slip up and still have a chance to win it all.

I see Oregon losing and a few others losing. This years BCS NC game is going to suck ass. It will probably be Boise St. vs. TCU. It will be the most least watched NCG ever.

If the current top 5 run the tables I think the BCS will go Oregon, OU, BSU, TCU, Auburn because of stength of schudule. MIzzou and OSU are both ranked high and will be away games for OU giving a huge boost to our computer points. And imo BSU needs to blow the top off of their next game, because a ranked win for a away game should be enough to move OU up next week.
