My parents gave me a quarter to play on a "cocktail" style arcade version of Galaga at a great restaurant on the way to our cottage back in 1985. I was very young, had just finished a cheesedog with fries and gravy, and can remember feeling guilty for having not washed my hands.

My first computer game was on an Apple 2, I think... I wish I could remember the name of it... you traveled in an air balloon, had to borrow stuff from your uncle to sell for money, and had to pick fruit that fell from a tree before it got spoiled. Might've been one of the first RPG's of all time... named something like the "greatest adventure" or something.

I remember playing this weird platformer on a Apple computer. It was sitting in this chicks basement that i had a crazy crush on as a kid.
You were this robot and you hit a button and changed into a aircraft.
I have no idea what its name was but that was pretty early in my gaming career.
Same here. Super Mario Bros on the original Nintendo when it first came out. I was very young, and I still remember the very first moments of plugging in the cartridge and playing the game.
I had no idea how to use the controller or what to do. I knew you had to run and jump over bad guys, and that's all I knew. I pressed start, and started running to the right. I saw that first goomba on the screen and looked down to find the jump button. I looked back up and I was dead. After that, it took me a few tries to get the timing right.

I'm gonna have to say Shadow of the Comet, not because it was my very first game, but because it's what made me into the gamer i am today.
