Ideal Survival Shelter

For a general-purpose survival shelter (bomb, zombie, nuclear, etc.) what would be your ideal survival shelter?
NOTE: this assumes you are a billionaire. Or not, the choice is yours, really.
Where: Where (either generally what terrain or a specific spot) would it be located?
What does it include: Is it a virtual city or just a temporary hold-out for the first few weeks of the apocalyptic scenario?
Who: Who would you take? Friends, any survivors, no one? Also, how many? A dozen, thousand, billion? Realistic as possible.
Supplies: What would you pack inside? Seeds for a farm or simple canned food? Guns to stave off the hordes or tools to work with?
Building Materials: Thick concrete and titanium or hardwood etc.?
Is it a) underground or b) underground or c) a mixture
If c, explain.
After all of these are written out, try to include a basic diagram or picture of it for those of us unable to picture it. Include a brief (or long) description of its characteristics.
Mine-
Where: Family land in an Atlantic Island
What does it include: Underground Sickbay, bunks (convertible to storage), a hidden supply room connected to another hidden room- full of batteries, fitness room equipped with weights and aerobics machines (which are secretly equipped with generators to power batteries), stable firing positions, thick steel entrance with a large concrete tower blocking access, farms outside walls
Who: My friends and their families, those I know who are honest and will work for their food, possibly some experts such as mechanics and farmers, a doctor or two if possible and those with herbal knowledge
Supplies: Water in abundance (from a river nearby which runs underground (Real!)), canned food for emergencies, seeds for nearby crops, herbal medicines from local plants, guns and ammunition for last-ditch defense, weights and machines, pool table, fusball table (sp?), replacement parts for everything, natural lubrication (as much as possible, though only for the hatch, aerobic machines and secret doors as there are no other moving objects), bandages, additional assorted medical equipment, toiletries etc. any personal items brought or requested by any inhabitant.
Building Materials: For rooms, spray on concrete for walls and floor, for most inbetween routes (hallways etc.) large corrugated pipes are used. EXCEPTION: For the hatchway between the Sickbay and the Fitness room, spray on concrete is used as well as the only stairwell in the entire complex.
c) Mixture- Above ground crows-nest tower, 20 feet tall, concrete with titanium skeleton. Small farms are above-ground as well. Excrement is composted above ground along with all dead plant-material. (Note, however, that all excrement is generously coated in dead plant-matter due to its high-protein levels.) Also, several chickens and a few pigs are kept for additional food (and their excrement works well as composting). Main facility, however, is underground in case any locals or raiders attack our facility. All farms are replaceable, and pigs and chickens can be brought into the tower and down into the facility from there. Even if Raiders breach our tower defenses, it is doubtful that they have anything capable of breaking into a 5 foot thick hatch made of titanium.
IMPORTANT: A large library is constructed within the supply center, decked out with survival books and entertainment books, as well as local herbal books detailing remedies from local plants. Books detailing major skills and such are also included.

Ive thought about this quite a bit. Ive come up with a shelter that isnt in the ground at all. or for that mater even on the ground.
High altitude is the key. Zeplins really are a lost treasure. Using 1 or the other or a combination of lighter than air gasses.
The ship would be massive in size. The outer skin and top would be covered in solar panels. Every big of non living space would be used for storage of different things.
To repopulate the earth with various animals- tissue samples of every animal possible to attain. Cloneing would then be used to recreate these creatures.
Storage for all the knowledge attained would be electronic on variouse hard drives that require little to no power to operate. Little to no material need be stored except that for personal use. Food would be in the form of high calories low quantity foods. such as MREs. Water would be recycled from everything on board with as close to 100% efficiency possible ( like the new system they recently installed on the space station). Now this would still lead to a little bit of loss so orbiting the planet as close to space as this type of flight is possible.
Now this ship would not need to store massive amounts of fule or anything like that as it can easily land at any point on the globe. Extra supplies would be stockpiled in several top secret locations as hidden as possible from the outside world except for those that have the exact location. Inside these bunkers would be food seeds extra refueling gasses. Now these bunkers would not need any type of life support as all your doing is storing non living items. So they basicaly would only need to be at a minimum of 10 feet underground and shielded from radiation. Other than that there needs are little.
Those aboard my ship would idealy 50 people. With condenced living spaces and common areas. Food intake would be restricted to the minimum amount of caloric and water intake per day in order to stay healthy. Roughly 1500 calories and idealy half a gallon of water per person per day. Vitaman supplements would be a requirement to get those things not supplied by the food.
during the stay on this ship for the survivors time would be spent learning everything needed for these people to start over. They would spend there time doing exercise and studying texts in order to attain the knowldge needed to do this.
Idealy resupply locations would be located at regular intervals around the planet. The ship would be able to take in enough at once to sustain itself for 4 months at a time. This would be 3 resupply runs a year. The living spaces would be pressurized. the ship would be equipped with navigation systems as well as atmospheric monitoring. The air in the living spaces would also be filtered.
Also i think another idea should be as such.
Starting immediately We should start funding as a civilization massive ships ment to travel directly to mars and land. these ships would be loaded with all the materials and resorces we could possibly put on them at 1 time. These resorces would be everything from the materials to build the structures needed and everything else required to set up a colony and sustain it untill it becomes self sufficent.
Seeds to grow food.
raw material needed to build structures.
backups of everything posslbe to put on hard drives. A complete repository of everyhting we can possibly get on a HDD. Launch these all to the same area.
After we get enough resorces stockpiled over say a couple of years. We finaly send the people. They go there to live the rest of there natural lives. These people are as healthy as possible before leaving and stay so during the trip. The first structures are idealy underground. untill radiation shielded domes can be constructed.
Mars is the ultimate survival bunker, and i think that with so many things that can wipe out life on this planet. If we plan to survive as a species , even if nothing major does happen to the planet eventual all the resorces here will be gone. If we dont start sooner or later moving out into our solar system. Later might be to late.
Survival shelter equals paranoia. It is ridiculous to have a survival shelter. If the big one ever happened, deal with it and die like everyone else.
