The Free Zone this week centers around last week's G-Star 2010 convention in South Korea. MMORPG.com's Richard Aihoshi has been digging through reports about the convention and has compiled some of the more intriguing information in his latest column. Also as in years past, G-Star 2010's visibility here in North America was pretty low, this despite both its being one of the largest game events in the world and the very obvious significance of the Korean industry. I can appreciate that it's an expensive proposition for any publication here to assign even a single editor to attend. That said, I don't have to concern myself with what trips are affordable within their travel budgets. I can - and do - simply wish there were had been much better coverage

I keep hoping something comes out of Korea that is not a copycat of all the other games from there.
*whistle* C-Engine 3 game. There's no way it can be using that engine to the full extent and still be playable for the many people that will be functioning in the same area, unless the game is as heavily instance as Guild Wars or more. They'd have to keep the graphics fairly low just to run on top tier systems, which means it may not look that much better than CE 2, which means using CE 3 is little more than a publicity stunt. There's already some videos of the world and a few brief combat segments, and the graphics are attractive but not any greater that games that already exist, and not as good as TERA.
So I'm going with door # 2
