I have a quick question. In Perpetuum you aquire skill points or EP like EVE whether you're on or off line; but, unlike EVE you accumulate EP whether you're training or skill or not? Is this correct?

Yes, you gain one EP point each minute your account is active. You can spend those points on skills whenever you want to.
Yep, and your EP pool is shared between all characters on an account. Therefore, if you want to play an alt and have it have its own EP pool, you'll need another account. Game is pretty cheap though so it's not so bad
On an interesting side note. It currently would take 9156.25 days of accumulating EP to max out all skills in Perpetuum. That's 25.09 years. So be prepared for the long haul if you want to do everything.

that just shows you can't use the planner properly: you forgot to set your attributes

Make sure you create a char though. Guys were under the impression you just sign up, not even DL the game etc.
You need at least one char to start accumulating EP.
