He never said to post here for keys. It was just a regular MEMBER that said that these things usually go just by whoever posts first. It wasn't a person with the MMORPG team.
The best way was to simply hit F5 on the main page. I was just spamming F5 on the main page, and also here for entertainment.
Thats not the part I am mad about, the part I am mad about was the this forum crashing when the contest was put up. I believe that in itself blind sided everyone. Many as well as myself, went to comment, because thats what was the drill before. But then wamo, the click to snag a key was there instead. To bad for me, I was in the 70s and I declare myself a winner even though I have nothing to show for it. I guess better luck next time.
Where was the link for this? been keeping an eye on this page for a couple hours, and I was watching the twitter page, the main site page, this forums post, and announcements page, and never seen a link to get the key? What the hell happened? That was a good 2 wasted hours... /sigh

After you enter the VIP key into your account, you'll get an e-mail within a day or two with the link for the EULA and once you agree to the NDA, there will be a download link.
Just thought I'd post a method that has worked for me and a friend should this contest be another top 100 comments wins contest. First is to find the permalink URL to the next news post that you expect the contest to be at. For instance, at the time of my post, the URL http://www.mmorpg.com/newsroom.cfm/read/18960 has no post yet, but http://www.mmorpg.com/newsroom.cfm/read/18959 does. So expect the next news post to be at 18960 and I watch that. The reason I use this URL instead of the main news page is because this URL has to exist before the main news page to link to it, so it should be viewable before it reaches the main news page. Second, use ReloadEvery (a firefox add on) to automate your refreshes to the URL you expect in part one above. Third, have your comment post in your clipboard so you can easily past your comment response. These types of contests are about who can post first in the shortest period of time. Hope it helps. It's worked for me.

Sigh.. I log onto this site maybe 4-5 times a day and I have yet to see a key for RIFT up for grabs. I think the game and the keys are just a myth. Neither one really exists do they? C'mon the truth will set you free. I'd prob pay a few thousand dollars for one.

I feel your pain but they really do go very quickly. I was just lucky I saw the post that they would be giving them away earlier when I stopped by to browse the forums and luckier still to get one, it said there were 12 keys left when I submitted for mine. It still isn't as crazy as the FFXIV giveaway from Fileplanet was. Their daily giveaways were out of keys in literally 15 seconds. Good luck to everyone still trying to get one.
