Circumcisions?! Seriously?!

Q: Do priests perform marriages or civil unions? How about circumcisions?

A: Each culture in TERA has its own rituals for marriages and civil unions; priests are able to officiate them all. Circumcisions require the assistance of a berserker, slayer, or warrior, whichever the parents prefer.

I am wandering about animation of the process...

Wow thats...interesting.  I guess to each their own.

Never really heard of this in an MMO before or even a game for that matter. Will be interesting to see how the people respond to this.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

I think the public could use a good shock

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

Lol. I could see it already: pain debuff causes a 24h movement decrease of -50 %, but a permanent +2 stats raise of blunt weapons skill afterwards.

Genital mutilation is something completely different. Don't confuse the two.

But, to answer your question: it's called hygiene. That and the ladies prefer it by a longshot. At least where I'm from. Besides, who the hell wants a smegma trap? Not me.

It is by the defination of mutilation, a genital mutilation. The foreskin is an essential part of that area. Hygiene factor is a relic of the past, it is now an old wives tale. There is no reason at all to lose the skin.

'At least where I'm from.' --> Let me guess? America? Only in America is there such a high percentage of circumcisions, most areas of the world it is uncommon.

Then where you are from has bad values and opinions. Even Jewish Rabbi's admit that it is silly for any non-Judeo religious person to get it done. If the ladies prefer it, then you need to change crowds since smart sensible ladies would know it is mutilation and it ruins the most sensitive nerves on a male's body.

Smegma = natural excess that is easily washed away.

It is truly sad that you would rather fit in with shallow, less intellual women and not have a naturally occuring substance (NATURALLY, alas, since circumcisism is unnatural mutilation) over having a much more fulfilling sex life and a fully complete area.

But don't worry, if you ever want it back I believe there are ways to strech it over again so your nerves can regrow. Since obviously you were one of the poor saps who got it forced off of him by parents who didn't know better.

"Cutting up your child's junk" should be even less of a joke.  But people do that, and far worse, all in the name of their particular ideology.  And that's one of the major failures of Ideology.  We aren't allowed to question it!

Generally speaking I don't think stuff like this should be condoned in games.

prime example of excessive immersion seriously guys they can't come up with new game mechanics so you get this

oh and actually the hygene angle is from the transmission of hiv which in uncircumcized men is about 10 percent higher and a greater occurrence of urinary tract infections

    so say we all

^ Prime example of how a, somewhat uncalled for, joke can lead into ludicrous assumptions, theories and statements.

Also, EME are not primarily making or working on mechanics per se. Their main focus are the "Westernization process" of the game. Which mainly are re-writing the lore, alternating questing phases, leveling phases, etc. It's more changing already existing mechanics than making entirely new ones. Needless to say, they aren't making some strange lore tidbits in place of would-be mechanics.

    Mechanics are Bluehole Studios job.

It's more funny to watch people overreact while this thread turns into a "circumcised vs uncircumcised" and an "omfg something having to do with a penis" thread.

I hate to rain on your Tera fanboy parade, but ArenaNet has already stated that GW2 will have Dynamic Circumcisions which are both seamless and persistent. And its bp2.

Whichever is the most accurate would be the one I'd want there. I don't think I'd be cool with even a .01% chance to miss.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
