I just got a message from FunCom that said my old account was now active and considered to be a freebie account.
You do lose any expansions you had with the old account though. And you cannot post, only read, their forums.

Now I've just got to remember my old username and password. I really want to play on my bureaucrat again.
I think I prefer not having any expansions anyway. The original game was the best part in my opinion. Too bad even without the expansions the original game isn't the original, due to the changes because of the expansion releases.
Edit 1: Oh, wow, I remembered my account username/password second time trying. I guess my memory isn't as bad as I thought.
Edit 2: Eh, according to this, it's only for 30 days. Darn, I was expecting it to be free for much longer like if you start a new account.
