Banned

RespyShuntRespyShunt Member Posts: 396

A while back i played AIon for a good month or 2 and uninstalled it because i didnt feel like paying for it anymore.  I tried to come back a few months later and found out my aion account had been banned due to a hacking incident.  I got that all straightened out with NCSoft and i played it for about another 2 months.  I kinda let it sit on my computer in neglect after that and after a while i figured i would play it YET again.  I tried logging on to the website and i find out that my ENTIRE NCSoft Master Account is banned..No email, no explanation, no nothing.  Ive never hacked or used 3rd party software for the game, hell i barely even played it.

Has this happened to anyone else

Join the club. Wether it be Guild wars , Aion, or Lineage NCsoft has a history of banning their customers for no reason or just plain misunderstandings.

Got banned from AIon a while back.

I had my account banned in Guild Wars. I decided to finally put it back on my computer to get psyched for GW2 and found out it was banned because of gold selling. Now I have never bought/sold gold in that game (why do you even need to?) So called them up and got my account back and everything was exactly how I left it. Nothing taken, cept they took all the gold I did have off my characters. I ended up just taking the game off my pc again. Meh.

Banned for 7 days for afk dredgion in a afk Dredg party.

Banned for 7 days for taking RMT money through a auction house sale /shrug

Main NC account banned when I wasnt even subscribed to any of there products for RMT.

Contacted and 2 weeks of non answers I gave up with NCsofts woeful support and just contacted Aion's producer direcl1yt who very swiftly got my account sorted out.

    Hi

It happend to me aswell, got banned in Aion and they said the reason was -my account was involved in illegal ingame trading .

Asked what do they means and thay said i did hacked other player account and took his goods :) .I wrote long long email to that GM who took over my case and told what i think about his Game Masters skills and where he should work.In the end got my account back.

One ,im sure about NCsoft ---Bullshi... company

My account got hacked and banned too. I think we need to understand in the war against RMT there will be innocent people hurt.  At least they are doing something to stop these bastards. If someone steals my account and they ban me how were they to know it wasn't me? I got my account back, some free items and a month free for my troubles.

Intrigued by this thread, I went on to check my account (stopped playing aion about two months ago) and sure enough, my ncsoft master account is banned.

NCsoft master account ****** has been permanently blocked.

I do not have an idea why but I don't really care.

    It hapened to me.

One day i decide to back to aion to check the diferences and find out my aion account banned.

The only diference i saw in my ncsoft account was my email was change to a strange one. No itens missed in my account (cheking using live status).

After trade a few emails with ncsoft and prove that was my account, the banned status was remove. They even ask to confirm  if i miss some in-game itens and then report so they could recover them.

In the end i bealive that my ncsoft account was hacked and they banned the only active game i had in the moment to prevent futher damage.

So, if anyone find the account with "Banned" status, just contact NCSoft and it might have a happy end  :)

I bealive for "Permanent Banned" things are really much more complicated  :(

i dont understand how this hacking is so wide-spread.  It has happened to me twice for Aion and its not like im giving out any account information to anyone.  Also, theres is RMT in pretty much every single MMO out there, why arent WoW players being banned left and right?  in about 2 years of playing WoW i never had a problem like this.

Funny, I went and checked myself and same thing. Played Aion for 3 months at the start and that's it.

you don't but people in wow complain about it too, really if your account was banned was for a reason, being it your fault or no its not the case, they have to ban the account in question.

FOR HONOR, FOR FREEDOM.... and for some money.

I'm forced to think that NCsoft has a few moles. Its not coincodence that everyone that is not playing is getting hacked. The only solace is that once you get your account back they have the two part security log in. Sad that people want to make money so bad that they are willing to destroy someone's experience with a game.

Either you all have keyloggers on your systems or NCsoft has a big problem, but be honest being banned is not a bad thing, it let you go! and your free to play good games

HAHA just checked mine, my Master Account is banned also, I haven't logged on except for the first month it was released.  Whatever NCSoft will get no more of my money.

I seriously think they auto-ban for certain activity. You need to contact account services if you care to go through the trouble. Don't expect much though. Despite mounds of evidence to the contrary they are "100% confident in their decisions."

Months ago a GM banned a group of players for using an invisible bridge. The invisible bridge was intentionally put in the game to get to a boss. The GM staff of Aion is utterly incompetent. They've proved it time and time again.

That is a interesting thought. Auto-ban would protect your account from being hacked. Sould like a good idea actually.  When I got banned I was playing again within 48 hours so customer support is not bad. I have waited longer than that for a bank to release a check. I think NCsoft has capable people that do a great job. What I think people need to be reminded of is that they are human...and they can make mistakes just like us. They can't be perfect so why does everyone expect them to be?

That is kind of funny. I have had a WoW account since 2004 closed beta. It has never been hacked. Why then was my Guildwars account "hacked" even though nothing was taken from any of my characters when I could get back in? Pfft.

WOW had its issues before but is not as bad cause its been out longer. Plus WOW making it easier to level and get gold slows RMT down. My WOW account got hacked before and when I was playing people were getting hacked left and right. I bet when the expansion came out RMT/goldselling picked up in WOW.

I was thinking the same thing but I just checked my account and it's not banned. I haven't played since the month after the game came out. (October I believe.)

You guys do realize that ncsoft actualy went to war with rmters? got flat out nasty..

The hackers actualy ended up hacking into ncsfots websites left and right.. corrupting forums.. hell they even attacked aionsourse.... AND THAT is only a comunity website...

Anyway.. easiest way to get your account back is call them.. get the support number.. mash buttons just so you can talk to a live person and theyw ill get your accoutn back quick if you have the info.

My account was hacked once.. but i got it back that morning..

Also dont think wow has less hackers... there is just more people playing and ALOT more inactive acounts.. hell actualy my wow account was hacked after 3 YEARS of being unsubbed.. just sudenly one day it was actualy hacked..and no i didnt fall for any phishing crap either

For all of you out there who think ncsfot is fail because they asked you for the cdkey used to activate the game, original email adress used, and the last 4 didgets of your creit card u used to sup to aion THAT IS YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT NOT THEIRS!!!!!..............................Keep better track of your shit!.

NC have been doing this sort of thing for years and only claim 'RMT' or 'Account Trading' or wahtever other reason they dream up. They will simply ban you account and use any excuse under the suin they devise - why? Because they know you will go and buy another box.

NC are the most corrupt company and best advised to stay well clear of them.

on the posts about wow accounts being hacked..imo i think wow / blizz works with these so called "chineese gold farmers / sellers / hackers" they dont police it like a real threat nor do i ever see anything done about it ...i thought i saw a post somewhere , where wow has a new option where you can buy a anit hack type guard for you wow account thru blizz ..wich dosent suprise me..blizz will sell its mom if it hasent yet...imo these so called hackers / chineese gold farmers and blizz go hand in hand and all work together to make massive amount s of money on lil kiddies that know nothing and dads quick to pull out the ol credit card for lil johnny..and a main reason why i quit years and years ago..if this would be true it would be the biggest scam of alltime...bigger than bernie madoff!  and props to aion it was a great game but i no longer play..waiting on something a bit more fresh from the mmo box

What are you even talking about? If you get banned you don't have to buy another box. You e-mail them and its cleared up in less than 2 days. They may not be legit 24/7 but getting banned doesn't mean you have to buy another box.
