I'm not sure if the failure of execution was his fault or not, but personally I'd love to have that guy hype one of my games. He's pretty amazing at it, tbh.

You know what? Listening to that person now feels like... I don't know what. Like you're getting poisoned or something. I did listen to him before. He managed to hype WAR up for me quite abit. That (ultimately meaningless) hype I had for the game was because of him.
I just get so pissed hearing him now. Don't wanna hear one more effin' word. Ugh, makes me sick.
omg... I wonder if he really believed his own BS about Warhammer being a "Hobby MMO"... I seriously believe WAR had the worst world for a AAA mmo as far as immersion goes.
Pitches like this are the reason Paulie has landed the number 3 slot on my "kick in the balls if I ever come across him IRL" list. Topped only by Michael Bay and Mark Jacobs. One of which ruined Transformers and the other who ruined the best PVP MMORPG ever.
"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth."
A mockery of how bad Warhammer turned out and how well this man did his job to make most of us believe that it was going to be everything in our wildest dreams.

Haha. I got quite attached to Paul Barnett from his vlogs and speeches. I love Paul even if he did do something. No one had to buy Warhammer. They could have just waited for the trial or played the open beta and saw the game for what it really is.
All I saw was just a presentation speech in that video without a presentation. All you have to do is think about what he's actually saying.
"It's not a computer game." - Paul Barnett
Of course it's a computer game.
"If you get skill, committment, and imagination, you get a hobby experience, and a hobby experience should grab you to the core of your being and be the only thing you want to do. And that's the game we're making."
He also said something about immersion in America is your house is burning down but you're still playing the game. Well, if the game grabs you and that's all you do, then it's the same thing.
Hehe. When Mythic told everybody that the game was being rushed in development and that several capital cities were being pulled from the game, that should have clued people in. But people were too busy being blinded by hype. Hype is only good to let take control of you only after you research a game enough that you know for sure you will like it. So you should expect game companies to hype their game.

He WAS amazing at it. Who would believe him now?

Barnett, the spin-master of the gaming industry.
Inccidently, what game is he talking about on his twitter? Still Wing Commander or something else now?
His mouth should be registered as a moving violation. Ahh I still recall watching his namby pamby healer speech and falling for that.
Apparently Ultima V remake for web browser. Not MMO
ps - Just another thing that was hinted by EA Lause 5 months ago. And i think definitive proof he was the real deal.
And. Man... Imagine that WAR really turned up to be as he describes it in the video

I just laugh really hard at the entire Mythic group. Hee should be doing commercials for ShamWOW or something like that.

All it takes is one bad day.
His carrer in Marketing is over... No one in there right minds will ever believe anything that man says any more.

I dont know, he looks a bit forced now that I look at that video
