Earthrise: Cinematic Intro Trailer Debuts

Masthead Studios and the Earthrise development team have released a brand new cinematic intro trailer. The trailer shows off a character creating a new shotgun to aid in survival in the wilderness. Problem is, another character preys on those who don't pay attention. Earthrise is scheduled to be released on February 4th.

The latest Earthrise video introduces fans to the thrill of venturing into the wilderness of Enterra alone to obtain new gear. The protagonist is an adventurer who rides a long way to an old, crafting terminal from the age of the Pioneers – a military grade technology currently only available to the government. Journeying into unknown territory at the risk of a potential ambush, the main character relies on his protection armor, shotgun and skimmer mount for safety. The antagonist is wearing speed armor and using the precision rifle to attack the protagonist and loot his possessions.

    Good trailer capturing the crafting, PvP-loot, insurance and ressurection-mechnics. It tells what to expect from the game-mechanics in some way.

    Awesome trailer! One of the few that actually explains (and shows) looting players ;-)

    Anyone knows how and where to buy / pre-order ER?

     $66.65 USD really?! LoL noty it doesnt look "that" good.These companies need to drop box prices not raise them especially considering you know it is going to be buggy no matter which game it is.Putting the same price tag on a game with monthly subs as a single player rpg that is for the most part finished is wrong in my book.

    That's direct conversion from Euro to USD. Why should it be any other way?

    And the box includes a free month of gametime aswell.

    I certainly hope this does not represent gameplay in any way.

    Look at the Video;

    Player A has  kind of crafting material / ingedient - he then has to travel for ages to get to a crafting station?

    In the video he begins crafting - but has to keep guard while he is crafting? (And we all know that is unlikely to work - since in most MMOs to date if you get too far away from the crafting resource you get a "You are not in range to use that..." error.)

    Player A gets the object he has been crafting - the fact that he seems to revere the shotgun so much suggests that the materials needed were hard to get.

    Then he gets ONE SHOTTED by a camper who takes his loot...

    If that is how the gameplay actually works... I foresee some issues retaining players?

    Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.
