I know this planet was just listed in Whilan's thread, but here is the video of the planet for those with internet navigational issues lol. I think it looks great. :-)

I particularly like this screen shot :-)
Environmental poisons have made Quesh one of the most dangerous and valuable planets in the galaxy, and the grounds for a savage battle between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Though the chemicals on Quesh are lethal to most life forms, they can also be used to create some of the most potent adrenals in the galaxy… and untold wealth for whoever controls the ingredients.
Initially discovered by the Republic during the Great War, Quesh was abandoned after scientists detected the poisonous content of its atmosphere. It wasn’t until years later that a young chemist rummaging through old data recognized the potential for the chemical compounds on Quesh—they are incredibly close to venenit shadaaga (Hutt Venom), a primary ingredient in high-grade adrenals for healing, reflexes, and concentration.
If the Republic could find a way to process the delicate chemicals, it would provide a major source of new income at a critical time in the war effort. Ultimately though, Republic engineers were unable to master the techniques to synthesize the adrenals. They were forced to seek help from some unlikely allies– the Hutts. Three families from the Hutt Cartel were quietly convinced to step around their neutrality treaty with the Empire in return for a cut of adrenal profits that not even a Hutt could refuse. The Cartel, so long as they received their share, looked the other way.
Within a decade, the Republic was fully invested in Quesh. Despite efforts to keep Quesh a guarded secret, miner and worker gossip slowly crept out. It wasn’t long before the Empire heard about this vast source of chemical wealth - and the treaty-breaking Hutts. The Cartel was forced to declare the Republic-aligned Hutts traitors, and assist the Empire as it launched a full-scale attack on Quesh, seeking to destroy Republic efforts and claim the resource for its own.
Now, the Republic struggles to defend its investment from the Empire and their unhappy Hutt Cartel allies.

Lots of concept art there and more lore. I wonder why Bioware are holding back on releasing more information on features? Launch is, apparently, scheduled for this year and beta must be coming up soon. The last couple of Feature Fridays have been quite weak.
Always nice to have more info, Kei (can i call you Kei?). Seems we are getting some really unique looking planets. Should be fun to roam around them looking for republics scum err republic peoples to gun down..err i mean to meet. Dang gotta work on my Negotiation skills.
We seem to get planet updates every 3 weeks or so. So we won't have any more planets for a while. This one will have to hold us on this front.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.
Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.
If - and it's a big if - Bioware is applying SOE techniques to beta testing, as Rich Vogel seems to suggest, then beta testing will take place in a short period (four weeks is very short) which wouldf seem to suggest the test will be about latency testing and server stress rather than bug fixing and taking suggestions from playtesters.
Yep that would be my guess as well. Open beta to them is just stress testing and try before you buy periods. The actual testing to get rid of bugs and suggestions goes on in the game testing period

Let's keep it clean and civil everyone.
I do kind of agree with you. The SOE devs were, technically, pretty competent. But the LA marketing people where both whores and pimps (to use some vivid language). They are the same kind of people who ruined the prequels. Whatr the hell are they feeding them over at the Skywalker Ranch?
Oh, and Dallas Dickinson, that simpering mouthpiece, is also there now.
Please remain on topic. Derailing the thread with off topic posts is called Topic Hijacking and against the Rules of Conduct. Thanks!
Fortune favours the bold.
My OP was hijacked so much, I forgot what the topic was. lol. This is my final thought regarding this whole SOE thing if this is somehow related to my OP since the Moderator left some of that thread trail in. I work in a very large technology area. We have plenty of individuals from other competing places with complete opposite company philosophies. We hire these people because of their talent, not becuase of their former companies previous vision. Their previous committments have had ZERO bearing on our direction, but their talents have made a valuable contribution. The fact that SOE individuals or any other individuals may have been part of flawed previous direction or vision will not impact our successful vision which is why I have no concern over any of this. Companies and people shouldn't discriminate againt individuals because they were part of previous flawed vision or methodology. Their past only enriches and brings different experiences to what must take place going forward.

Quesh does seem to be a very interesting planet. You really have to wonder if you will need to buy special equipment to explore the planet or if they will have some sort or story to cover why you can wander it and explore. Will be fun to find out.
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
Sorry to disagree Zerminus, but of the pictures showed for this planet 5 out of 8 were screenshots and all the footage from the video was gameplay. Look at the shadows, they give it away every time.
As for holding back on features, it is called successful marketing. Obviously you do not like it and neither do I to be honest, but it does seem to keep bringing us back. All in all I would say the marketing department is doing their job pretty good.
