Why do you play MMORPG:s ?

Hello members !



Me and friend are doing a research for our Thesis work at the University. We are looking for players who are currently playing or have played a MMORPG recently. This is the first phase in our study and the data that we collect now will be used to form a Survey with more focused questions.

    I am playing MMORPG because I am bored with my life. And because of this I can be whatever I want to be. I also gained friends with this and I can meet some freaky and crazy person that can be unusual to be with.

    I play MMOrpg because I find it really interesting to play along side other players. Me and my friends always plays the same game, so we can forma guild or and do quest together. Plus, if we encounter an enemy who has its own guild, its really fun to battle against other guild. So I can say, its more than just playing, it's all about enjoying what you play.

    MMORPG stands for massive mulitplayer online role playing game. The reason I prefer massive multiplayer games is because I can have massive amounts of people to pvp against vs killing the same people over and over agin. LOL

    Any news? I was a Psych student so my question may not be relevant... What discipline are you from? Is it a small n study? What are your other methods of data gathering? In-depth interviews?

    I played MMORPG because my friends are playing it. I meet lots of friends in this kind of gameplay. The best thing about mmorpg is that i can challenge people on a 1on1 so I would know if my character build is good or not.

    I love my keyboard and mouse so much more than a stupid joystick! err I mean controller or whatever you kids call it these days.

     

    I fully replaced TV with MMORPGs when I moved out into the country and started to miss meeting new people a lot like I did in the city.

    I do play MMOrpg to gain enemies and friends. haha. but actually to make fun and enjoy my life. if i got bored with my life i just play the game and i can do whatever i wantedimage

    I play MMORPG games because it is in and i like the graphics. but for now i stop palying and and waiting for the best game that will laucnh by this year. i have a good feeling that there will be one that will boost my craving in MMO games.  i hope many players can be my source to see a great game. because some of the games to day is just a copy cat from another games.

    Because i love to play games that's why. even in my age i still doing it. who cares if I am not that young to play MMO. but that's the advantage because i can spend lots of money just to get what i want. haha.. i have work i can do what ever i want to do.. yeahhh .. hardcore play makes me crazy.. haha
