Are We Allowed to Make Critical Posts of Rift?

I know that there's a collective thread for comparisons to other games, but it seems like every post out there that posts an unfavorable view of Rift is locked.
Are negative reviews and opinions of Rift disallowed? I wanted to post something that would be somewhat critical of the game, but given the amount of mod edits and closed threads, I figured that it'd be a bad thing to do given that I'm a new user and wouldn't want to get banned off of the bat.

The thing that exist already in this forums are critics to rift, all kind, if i just read part of them, i was thinking that I'm playing the worst Game made in history, so post what you want, one more or one less is the same.
The one's who like the game will continue playing it, and the one's who hate it, will not, so feel free...
If the critical post is comparitive in nature, it belongs in the comparison thread (or it has even already been said numerous times).
It is entirely possible to be critical of particular issues in RIFT wihtout having to compare it to another game. Unfortunately what happens with many threads is that others will start comparing RIFT to other games - then it is locked with the redirect.

Well, they closed the 'buy Rift' as well as the 'don't buy Rift' thread for pretty much the same reason, so I'm guessing they just want to trim down the wild growth of all kinds of threads that are pretty much the same.

Posting objective views and such under a freshly created account does not help prove any point though.. and just comes acrossed as troll bait when the person posting can't stand by their opinion enough to use their real account.
So it's entirely possible that, regardless of the intent of the original poster and the material being discusssed, the thread will simply be locked if ANY poster starts comparing it to other games?
That kind of implies that any random poster, people having a sharp rift bias included, could make meaningless comparisons just to get threads locked even if the thread isn't on the subject.
Btw, this thread will be closed as well - since discussing moderation violates the RoC... just so you know.

Yep, the extremists on both sides pretty much makes it impossible to have most reasonable discussions about the game. Either side will end up getting threads locked or troll/flame them into oblivion.
Then again, it is pretty disgusting over on the official forums as well. The fanbois are running rampant there and driving people away - it really is kind of disgusting.

That implies that posts are only taken seriously if the person posting has a large post count.
Under that assumption you could have a person post meaningless drivel many times and have credibility associated with their posts, which is kind of inconsistent with anything reasonable.
I'm not going to report it, lol - just saying that if a mod stumbles across it or perhaps one of the fanbois sees the words RIFT and critical in the same sentence that they might do so... kind of sucks.

There are other factors involved, as well. Like... just to use random examples picked from the air... if the poster creating the thread has a single-digit post count or just created an account to make said post or has a 'beating a dead horse' image for his avatar, that kind of gives a hint as to the agenda or level of sincerity one can expect. If not, it at least tosses up some reasonable red flags.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

You should be able to post any view you wish, so long as you respect the rules of the site and try to be contructive about it. Mods will leave it if it isn't just a repeat thread.
However, fans will decend on your thread to insult, troll, derail and do whatever it takes to get the thread shut down, bless their hearts.
That's not exclusive to RIFT though.
Kind of goes along with my statements on community - communites suck everywhere, games, forums, work, school, life...lol.
Yep, if there was a person that was brand new to the board - they are instantly considered a troll by people that may have fostered their post counts by...oh yeah, trolling.

No, just when Rift is concerned :P The ammount of brand new accounts making 'Anti'-Rift threads is more than a bit suspicious, and often those same posts appear to be made for the soul purpose of stirring up trouble, it just seems like the new "cool" thing to do around here lately..

I've made several critical posts about Rift saying I don't like it, it's horrible, blah blah blah. I'm tired of hearing myself say it. Why should anyone else be different.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

Posting opinons is perfectly fine. We encourage discussion. However, just keep in mind the way you say things and give some examples for claims and such, for positive or negative posts.
