Who will buy the 3D DS ? and what is the motivation ?

I still remember the fist gameboy color I bought as a 30-er. I played Lucky Luke to death .. (ashamed) on the beach in southern France.

I hope the 3D effect could stimulate the RPG format (only found Dungeon Siege and GoW on the PsP any good).

Who has seen the 3D DS already in action ?

Is it really that good as the press suggests?

    yeah it's gimmicky but nintendo has proven to do well with most gimmicks. the wii for instance. the first ds with the touch screen

    my motivation for getting the 3DS is because my limited edition Zelda DS Lite broke recently. The top screen is black with vertical color lines going through it when I turn it on.

    even if the 3D gets boring or distracting you can turn off the 3D and play all the non-3D DS games

    some of the press suggested that they couldn't really see the 3D.

    the cons of the 3D is that there is only one layer so I don't see how it would looke extra 3D (I could be wrong), and you will probably have to hold or tilt the DS to different angles to get the most out of the 3D during gameplay

    I'll be getting it as soon as I can.

    My motivation is two fold:

    1) My current DS was bought just six months after the DS launched in 2005 so it's looking a little old and worn.

    2) Kid Icarus. That's right. Kid to the Mother fuckin' Icarus

    Of course the new Golden Sun game doesn't hurt either....

    If I'm not mistaken, the system will be able to apply the 3D effect to any polygonal DS game so that would be a nice bonus. I'm still gonna miss playing GBA games on the DS though. Good thing I kept my old GBA SP so that I could also play Gameboy and Gameboy color games ;-)

    I definately wont be buying it, at a price tag of $250.00 thats pretty expensive, also be prepared for the $50 price tag on games way to expensive, and ive read reports that alot of peoples eyes are having problems with the 3d making there eyes hurt etc.

    i heard a new zelda game will be for the ds 3d, it's worth buying it becase all the zelda game searies are really great.
