Whenever Henrik says he's going to revolutionize or that there introducing something he's excited about it makes me cringe.

I am looking forward to reading the posts that follow the patch. Last time a city dissapeared leaving a hole in the world lol.  I'm wondering what this "epic" patch will bring oO.

I look forward to hearing about it, SV's always tried to strive the extra mile in their features. It was a pitty when I used to play the bugs each patch brought would far outweight the benefits such systems bring to the game. Sort of on-topic question, do patches still bring in old bugs?

Do you mean it will be so broken we will never want to see mounts ingame again for fear of client crashes exploits and 100s of other bugs?

Here we go again with Henrik making a fool of himself.

i don't care what he promises to revolutionize, the truth is his company cant even keep thier single server working for more then 4 hours a time. revolutionazie my ass.

I'm excited from the point of view that I'm not paying their subscription fee and get to see what happens.

Interesting.. I do like the Mount system in MO as it allready stands, so im sure this will be great (wont get to test it tough as i havent played since launch) MO has alot of good things going for it imo, if only they could get the game/server stable and some more features in it will be a great game some day. Could use alot more PvE content too.

I guess he's learned nothing in terms of how to manage expectations. I'm beginning to hear echoes of John Romero and Daikatana. The only difference is that Romero had actually got the previous track record at Id to boast about.

Lest someone feel that the video is "off-topic" let me just explain that the video is about someone that continues to promise somethng and then pulls it away at the last minute.

Quick thought: do you think he might be referring to the resurrection of the old exploding horse bug, and catapulting riders into the lake at node lines? After all, SV are reknowned for bug necromancy. Perhaps henrik is anticipating this. It would certainly revolutionise the way players use their mounts, he didn't say it was a revolution for the better...

    Good Ole Henrik....

Anyone remember him spouting it will be MO2 after the EPIC patch.  And then after the patch back tracking saying.  "I meant from the side of coding it. it will be easier for us to work".  When he def said it will be MO2 from a player standpoint.

Jesus get ready for this bug storm to hit.

Sounds great and all, but please keep in mind that we still remember your announcement of 'almost MO V2.0', which pretty much was a let-down. As per our experiences we'll have to see what comes before believing in it.

Here is a Prediction folks: when the "new" and "epic" mount system does not work, the excuse will be:

    1. It was Epic's fault.

    2. It was due to {insert latest natural disaster} .

    3. It was WoW's fault!

QFT. I have not, nor do I plan to play MO, but have had  alot of fun watching the wreckage. I would love to have seen it successful, but since it isn't I might as well get what entertainment it provides....and this is free. ;-)

Instead of pushing a button to spawn a mount. All you have to do is plug this wires into your front lobe and you will just have to think of when you want the mount to spawn. REVOLUTIONARY FOR MMOS!!1

When did you start playing "old school" MMO's. World Of Warcraft?

He is really into his little "baby", shame their ability to deliever is not half as strong as their passion.

I just don't get it. We have 2011, making a new sandbox which is less or more a copy of UO is not enough to attract players. There was a reason why MMOs are trying to expand content wise. Empty world with edgy hills with few mobs here and there doesn't make your game fun. Right now the game has 10 % of game content it should have to keep players playing it. I don't even talk about QUALITY of their game code.

From my understanding this is what it is. . . unique mounts.

I understand that they will be varried in size, possibly colouring and maybe stats etc.  To me this is more data to be sent etc. to bog the game down sych wise.

What Henrik is supposed to do is hire people to say stuff like that and then "fire" them and appologise for their being a little over the top and the put a mustache on them and hire them back to do the same thing under a different name. . when will he learn!

Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!

The WoW one would work hte best. . but I do remember the great posts when the volcanic ash was to blame for delaying the devs. . that he said had left the week before or something like that. .then he had to explain why they hadn't left when he said they had. . etc. etc. . something like that.  I felt bad for him.  It likely was the volcanic ash. . but seriously. . it sounds so bad :)

Yeah the funny thing about the volcano was that about 2 or 3 weeks prior Henrik had said they had sent some devs to Epic in the US. Then when the volcano happened he said that it delayed their trip to the US.
