MMO with awesome armor

Hey,

 

Sorry that the title is so vague, but I couldn't think of a good way to shorten what I'm looking for. Ultimately, what I want to do in an MMO is just to explore and make awesome looking armor for my character. This worked well in guild wars where you managed to see a lot of new and interesting terrain in little time, and I could also work hard and dedicate much time to create an awesome looking armor for my character.

 

I know guild wars is different from MMOs, but are there any other games out there where I can just focus on exploring the continents while doing few quests here and there and work on various armors to suit my character?

    Gonna have to wait for GW2 for that. I don't really know any game that appears to have the amount of armor customization available as GW2 will have.

    Here is info on the dye system and you can look up some videos on youtube. The info on the crafting system in the game hasn't been shown yet but we were told it will be shown next week.

    Imo, Aion has some of the coolest, best-looking armor in an MMO to date. It is extremely detailed and looks sick.

    Well, there are a few with really good armor customization.

    APB will relaunch soon, it have the best crafting customization ever done... It have other problems and is closer to a FPS game but it is still worth a look.

    CoX have also great customization, but you create have you look yourself there, not like in GW.

    Aion might also be worth a look, even though it is a lot grindier than GW.

    Guildwars 2 will hopefully release later this year, it will take the stuff from the first game and really turn up the heat. For one thing will you unlock colors and change them as you want from a huge list to even more be able to customize your own look.

    I think I would wait for GW2 if I were you. Or possible try out the free trial for AION.
