Havn't started playing yet, but I'm thinking about buying 3 months of founders pricing when I do before months end. It'll be something to do and help pass the time through July, and hopefully SW:TOR and/or GW2 launches won't be long after that.
Wonder how many people that voted don't even own the game.
^^^^^ Right? lol bet you 23 of of the 26 were people who are gearing up for SW:TOR or GW2 and dont like th idea that Rift is simply the better game.
People think that because Bioware is making SW:TOR, that it will be amazing... a big LoLz on that
People think that F2P GW2 will be genre changing... an even BIGGER LoLz to that.
wake up people... until there is a plug which allows you to put a helmet on your head and experience an MMO world through 360 degree head turning fully inducive lense, the genre is was it is, and Rift does AMAZING for what it is.
Played through beta 6 - open beta and liked the game, bought digital collectors edition, not even played a full week of live and currently have no drive to log in to the game, even playing my old fav Guildwars over Rift.
I wouldn't say it's a bad game nor do i know why my opinion of it has changed from beta to live, as the game itself hasn't changed.
I may just be fickle :P but i always go back to Guildwars........so roll on GW2 i suppose.
It's a solid casual game. I'll be playing for at least a couple more months, but then again, I'm not in a rat race to cap level either. I only log on a couple times a week.
Voted YES as right now RIFT has enough freshness and novelty to keep me interested well past all the beta and this first month. I'll give it six months and see where it goes from there. I do enjoy the game so far, and actually look forward to logging in.
I do have concerns at higher levels or the replay ability overtime with only one start zone and the ability to have the four classes with multiple Roles, why reroll or level a new one? End game raiding only? Or just expansions with more leveling, kill 10 rats? IDK time will tell what Trion will do.
But I'm definitely NOT pinning my hopes on SWToR or GW2, too many disappointed MMO releases in the past few years.

[Mod Edit] EDIT: Yeah, of course you censored me. You guys are just jealous you didn't say it yourselves ;D
What I should have said was: There is no possible way you can compare those two to Rift. they are not out yet.So anything you think is purely opinion.
Anyways I voted no. I have two toons in their mid twenties, and one who just hit 41. I'm bored. If there's absolutely nothing better to do next month, I MIGHT pick it up again. But it's unlikely.
Nah, not for me. It's a fine game, just not really the kind of game I enjoy nowadays. Some real life friends were supposed to be getting it, and I was going to play it with them, but none of them bought it (those bastards!) and they left me alone. I've already cancelled my account. What was odd though, is that as I cancelled, they just stopped my account. I didn't even get the rest of the month. Account was disabled a day after I cancelled. They jipped me I think I didn't get my free month! No matter though, wasn't going to log in anymore anyways and it's quite possible I still have the rest of the month to play, but I don't care to find out. Shame really, like I said, fun game, just not what I look for anymore.
I'm playing rift super casual. Not jumping into it and rushing through. I'm level 16, just finished my first *extra* soul. I will continue to stay subbed with rift. Sick and tired of wow, though I will probably go back one day.
just cancelled. was really hoping it would last me until swtor but I should have known better. I played the beta & was bored to tears with it then, only bought it to play with friends but I can't stomach it anymore. Got to lvl45 after 5 days /played & just under 5k pvp kills but the pvp is absolutely awful & the pve is pretty lackluster. Guess its fps games until a decent mmo comes out.
I was really hoping to, but I've come down with a big ol' case of the "Meh's" about it and can't even convince myself to log in anymore. Not really sure why, it's a delicious change of pace from WoW... but not different enough.
I voted yes I bought a 3 month sub but I doubt that I'll be staying past it when that's up. At the casual pace that I play I figure it will take me like 1 to 2 months to get my current level 24 main up to level 50 by which point I'll most likely be bored enough with the game or disgusted enough at the community to call it quits.
I like the game but there's just something about it that just doesn't "feel" right. I can't really put my finger on what it is though. It seems like a nice ride to level up but I don't see anything in the "endgame" that will keep me playing once I get there.

It's not quite free if you have to buy the box, in order to redeme it, now is it?
I'll be around in some capacity until SW:TOR is released on my real life friends come back to WoW.

How many times have we heard that one. Dont hold your breath.
You still understand the question, don't you?
I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.

I don't and I have been trying to get a refund for almost 2 weeks now.
It was just a joke!
Why do you need a refund?
Aye. I usually bite the bullet if i'm not satisfied with an mmo. It was my decision so it's something to live with.
I was really hoping to, but I've come down with a big ol' case of the "Meh's" about it and can't even convince myself to log in anymore. Not really sure why, it's a delicious change of pace from WoW... but not different enough.
