I was unsure if I was going to pick #4 or #5 cuz I'm literally retired from DCUO. I log on to help my league do the raids, but even that I can barely stand it. I'm so ahead and it was totally worthed for the experience first month, but after that it's the same what WOW had minus rated arena, battlegrounds and crafting skills. We do 2-3 raids per week for 2-3 hours and that's about it. Raids reset, repeat...PvP it's not even worth doing.
I picked #4 and ty DCUO for the great experience for first 4-6 weeks. It was totally worthed it. I just don't see myself continuing it in current state.

Let me see subscribed to two MMO , rift and wow , haven´t touched wow in 2 months time .
Tried too many other products could not even get past starting area on some of them .
Not cause of product fault , but just bored >.<
Honestly went back and played Mass Effect 1&2 had a solid week of addiction and 4 hours sleep a day max .
Then realise am really fantasy overburned , can´t see a sword orc kobol etc anymore .....
Honestly just waiting for SWTOR or some other SCI FI mmo , that holds some substance .
Would have bought Earth Rise but don´t want to PvP , so just waiting around for SWTOR release date .
Canceled beta sign up , don´t want to get burned out already .
I picked the having a blast option, but in review I probably should have picked the 'Not currently playing due to /other" option, since the FFXIV servers are shut down until Japan's energy crisis is over.
Thx for the info. I wonder what makes FFXIV so fun for you to ignore the rest issues its facing. It would be also nice to know the names of these single, MMO/MMORPG's that players voted that they are having a blast ;p
I guess there's no fitting option for me; playing bit of everything, single or MMO. I actually found used Rayman (PS1) for cheap and finding the simpicity of it refreshing. Also got Diablo II again and even though I have some bad things to say about the game and Blizzard's games in general, I also have to say that it's also pretty damn good game. Especially due to the hellish and agonizing theme. All you have is happyhappy-kawaiidesu-sugar-coated-syrup-dipped-candy art styles these days. Looking into Anarchy Online as well, and I'm quite interested, actually. Linkrealms beta, too. Not to forget NetHack! So closest is option number 1, as I'm having a blast, much moreso than when playing one MMORPG like no tomorrow.
I'm playing Xsyon, and put the "having a blast" option, when in reality I'm only having half a blast, and the other half is being frustrated due to lag. It has been much improved today.. but still a ways to go.
Will be playing Xsyon throughout the free time given (two and a half months) and I'll see where to go from there. That is, unless something else releases that I MUST play, or DCUO comes out with an awesome update and fixes the PvP issues they're currently experiencing.
amazing, 50% for the fifth option
...I might go and download the heck out of free trials later, but with studies going on, I really don't see the point of playing any game unless it's awesome.

Number 1 because I'm addicted to Miiiiiinecraft!
Always read the small print.
None of the available options fits my situation which goes like this: i am still in WoW, waiting for TOR. After 6 years in WoW my only interest narrows down to the pve content solely, thanks to the interesting boss fights. But this is fading away as well, rather rapidly i may add. Tried Rift with a friends rogue toon and immediately an overwhelming feeling of deja vu struck me. I guess i am too fed up with the fantsy setting.
I installed ME and ME 2 because i lost my saves. I'm going to have a blast playing through them again not to mention that i have not seen ME 2's DLC yet.
Bioware, i want my TOR now!!!
finishing demon's souls the 2nd time while wating for an mmo that can hold my attention for a while...
Well, that certainly explains a lot of the posts on this forum.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
didn't play MMO's serious since years, tried many but most of them I quitted after a few weeks. I am playing Half Life 2: Episode 2 now, a very good game which only gets better and better. Also Dragon Age 2 surprised me since I do actually enjoy playing it. Not very much, but enough to make me want to finish it. But DA2 failure makes me crave for the The Witcher 2 even more. Also Deus Ex: Human Revolution in a few months.
So far in this poll the current games are not attractive to 56% of the market and another 16.5% are on edge of quitting their current game. So that's over 70% who are anxiously waiting for a good game.
This just proves that the maturity of gamers overall has grown. The average gamer right now has years of experience and those who will be in charge for developing a game should have at least 3x more experience of that.
I'm glad to see a poll that clearly shows a positive future for games overall. This is a clear opportunity for anyone who wants to produce a game with the right experience and knowledge.
I am playing DDO with my husband, my son, and my son's brother-in-law. One of my other sons might jump in soon. It's been great (and often hilarious) fun. But that's pretty much "by appointment", so I am playing a variety of free-to-play games in between, as well as a couple of single player games. (No, I don't really have that much time on my hands; I just play different things in short sessions.)
Currently playing astroempires, as my only one.
Has real roleplay, well technically people are roleplaying just by going through game actions. And the fact that you(your empire) sticks around even when you're not online means that you play the politic game to some extent or another. I guess it's kind of a benefit of a slow tick based web empire building game.
