Hello,

I see that you talk about Dofus. I take you information about this project which work in french (15000 subscribers) and will be launch in english in few days. It will be a little revolution in the mmorpg story because it's a Tactical MMORPG.

Dofus's looking for players for the free upcoming english beta-tests.

    It certainly seems that way, I look forward to all sorts of frenglish mis-translations.

    Seriously though, the French seem to have a better grasp of the english language than the Korean MMORPG developers do.  It's definitely worth a look; I know I'll be trying it out shortly.

    The art is certainly a departure from the norm.  I rather like the simplicity of it.

    EDIT: I took and signed up since the grafics seem simple enugh to fit my taste.

    It looks good. But it's a little to cartoonicle (I tend to make up words a lot) for my preference, but it looks cool.

    1) Graphics is not the be all end all for a beta.  It's certainly got a style, and the environments at least look good.

    2) I don't think DOFUS is meant to revolutionize the mmorpg industry and cure cancer, so never mind concerns of "how is it special?" 

    I'll check it out maybe, good luck.

    Very interesting graphic style.  It might be a good departure from those other fantasy type games that tries to look realistic, but falls far short of realism.

    Ever since playing Final Fantasy Tactics I've been obsessed with every type of tactical RPG in existance.. I've always wished for an online tactics rpg, but have never seen even a hint of one being made.. If this game is what I think it is, my wishes have been answered!! I'm so excited to play! X)

    So I couldn't wait for the beta to open, and ended up registering for the French version, since I know a little French. It's hardly as advanced as Final Fantasy Tactics (sigh..) BUT, it's definitely going in the right direction! I think I will spend a lot of time playing this once the actual beta starts! image

    This game will definitely be a successful stepping stone for a new genre of online gaming. Online tactic RPGs surely have a lot of potential, as I now realize after playing Dofus. image

    I dunno it doesn't look that interesting to me. i mean it sounds like it will have alot of things that will be fun about it. like the evil system and buildings, but i liek a game with graphics that capture my attention, like AO WoW CoH. This game didn't capture my attention.  nice concept tho

    I believe in graphics too... but I'm often willing to sacrifice graphics got good gameplay.

    The problem with these smaller dev teams is it takes them so long to release an MMO that by the time it is out the high-powered studios have pushed technology to a totally new level, re: graphics etc. The only way they can possibly compete is through innovative ideas/gameplay - which we all can agree the industry is lacking.
